A friendly reminder to all golf course superintendents: Summer's here! ☀️ Double-check your crew's PPE and make sure they're prepared for the sun. Your crew's wellbeing is YOUR priority.
REMINDER:
Poor air quality or respiratory sensitivities? Wearing a mask can provide an additional layer of protection. Choose a mask specifically designed for filtering fine particles & pollutants. N95 or KN95 masks are commonly recommended for this purpose.
A lockout lock should NOT be used for anything besides performing a lockout. 🔐
Make sure your crew knows to never use them to lock a door, tool box, or any other item besides machinery & power sources.

SUN TIP
#1
Wear a Hat: Protect your face, neck, and ears by wearing a wide-brimmed hat or a baseball cap with a flap in the back. This helps shield your head and face from direct sunlight, reducing the risk of sunburn and sun-related skin damage.
Safety isn't just a destination – it's a journey we navigate together. 🚙 Let Golf Safety help make your golf course even safer with our Utility Vehicle Safety training:

Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF (Sun Protection Factor) of 30 or above. Cover all exposed skin, including your face, neck, arms, and legs. Reapply sunscreen every two hours or more frequently if you are sweating heavily.
Reasons why safety training matters... A person who is self-aware and carries the importance of safety is much less likely to have a costly accident like this one. Photocredit...
