Flow has been nominated for the LUX award! It's a huge honor for us because this is the first time ever that a Latvian film has been nominated and also it's very rare that they select animated films. This also means that Flow will be shown in cinemas in all of the EU countries.
I’m honored that Flow has been chosen as Latvia's Best International Feature Oscar submission. I hope the Academy will give a chance to this dialogue free story which is told in the international language of cinema.
Friends in Japan, today Away is released in cinemas! Japanese culture has inspired me a great deal so it feels like the journey is finally complete.

Flow won the Grand Prize Feature in Ottawa International Animation Festival! It’s a full circle kind of moment for me because many years ago I received the Best High School Short Film award there, which was my first ever award and was a huge help with getting my next films made
Flow won 2 awards in IFF Young Horizons in Poland! The Jury Award AND the Young Jury Award in the Discoveries competition! I wish that I could've been there. Flow will be released in cinemas in Poland in January 2025.

I'm thrilled that Away has been chosen as the opening film of Taichung International Animation Festival! This is the fourth(!) festival that has Away as their opening film. And they've also invited me to be in the short film jury!
