We are now heading for at least 12 months delay, European elections and a very soft Brexit or no Brexit at all. Brought to you by people who really want Brexit. No, it makes no sense. No sense at all.

Suggestion to remove logjam: gov to make clear that if deal is rejected by Commons it will bring forward vote on referendum asking British people - back deal or remain. Take no deal Brexit off the table. That should focus minds in some quarters.

Sadly, it seems we must change leader BUT even if the angel Gabriel now takes over, the Parliamentary Party has to urgently rediscover discipline, mutual respect and teamwork if we are to (i) govern the UK well and (ii) avoid slaughter at the next election. #lastchance

Luke knows full well the announcement is being made this Friday. I have been at Westminster 26 years, 13 under Lab, 13 Con. Under investment in our railway throughout. Finally we are gettting the investment we need.

The PM needs to tell the Transport Secretary to announce funding for rail upgrades at Dawlish this week. We have had enough delays, enough soundbites. What we need is the money and we need that money announced this week. #plymouth

Completely agree with this. The government is having to fight the virus and the British media at the same time. It is a disgrace.

Spare a thought today not just for our amazing NHS and care workers but for the many teachers who are giving up their Easter holiday to open schools for the kids of key workers. We salute you. Thank you.

Great to be present when @GavinWilliamson announced base porting of all 8 Type 26s at Devonport. Future of Naval Base assured. Navy expanding in Plymouth under this government. Great news

We do not need or want a total lockdown in Devon and Cornwall with such low rates of the virus. I support the government in resisting Labour's plan. A regional approach is better for us, but we must all obey the rules. Hands. Space. Mask

First time in 28 years not up on the Hoe to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. But in our homes and in our hearts today, we will remember them.

I read today a scientist's opinion that the lockdown made no difference to the spread of the virus; then I read a different experts claim that the 9 day delay caused 1.5 mill to be infected. Is it time for more humility? Being guided by the science is not um...an exact science

Just had meeting in constituency with an aclectic collection of hard-working, non-political people, some of whom voted remain, some leave. They were unanimous: stop squabbling, back the PM and get a sensible Brexit done. Got it

What we really need now is a general election. Let the British people pick their way through this maze and decide which way they want to go.

Looked at phone at 7am. 2 emails urging me to block no deal, 2 threatening Armageddon if I did! Welcome to another day in Brexit Central. I am resolved to act in the national interest but suffering from the slight disadvantage of not knowing quite what that looks like.
