The incident was caused by internal configurations that impacted communications with our marketplace database.
Several steps have been taken to prevent reoccurrence and a formal notification process has been created for future incidents.

Every Stacks block finds finality on a BTC block, and therefore on average a block can take ten minutes, but can even be up to an hour depending on the miners.

If your send is pending, we haven’t yet received your payment. This is likely due to sharply rising network fees.
We need to wait for the transaction to confirm, after which we can process the mint and / or refund, based on remaining items.

Choosing the “higher fee” only applies to the creation of the inscription.
In the above case, a higher fee would also be needed on the payment sent to Gamma. This payment sent to Gamma is stuck pending, and we cannot inscribe without receiving the payment first.

Not at all, we think the Boom team is great and they offer a simple way to create 1-of-1 NFTs without deploying a standalone smart contract. There is just also a high propensity for abuse when it’s such a low bar to producing new NFTs. The pros and cons of an accessible tool. 🙂

The mempool and fee rates are extremely volatile due to the upcoming Bitcoin halving, resulting in longer than usual wait times for transactions at lower fee rates.
Fees are currently about 4x higher than pictured here, but hopefully will cool overnight.

Today, Creators can accept mint revenues in CityCoins if they choose. At the time they create their collection, they can enable Mint-with-MIA and/or Mint-with-NYC.
For purchasing NFTs on the secondary marketplace, this is a bit more complex, but, appreciate your feedback—noted!

We’re working towards this - our end goal. But as of now, listing is a relatively manual process and the number of artists requesting placement on the site is overwhelmingly large (~20-30/week). We are working on a self-service portal to solve for this. Currently in private beta!

A recent configuration change impacted some users’ ability to perform transactions using their connected wallet. The issue has been resolved.
