With traditional wallets, your seed phrase, key pair, and account are intrinsically linked — creating a single point of failure.

2/ Fuse is a wallet built on top of
@SquadsProtocol
, every Fuse wallet has a Squads account (sPDA) deployed for it with 3 keys and a 2/3 threshold. One key is stored on the device, the other one in iCloud and a 3rd key is used for recovery.
3/ Thanks to Solana's account abstraction + battle tested, 5x audited and 2x formally verified Squads v4 program we are able to deliver a new kind of wallet experience for the ecosystem. There is no seed phrase, no single point of failure and multiple wallet recovery options.
4/ We are building Fuse for individuals who need a cold storage alternative for their SPL tokens. Think of Fuse as your savings account where you keep the assets you want to preserve and do not intend to use on a daily basis.
The two primary Active Keys include:
→ A Device Key that is stored locally on your phone, protected by Apple’s Face ID.
→ A 2FA Key that adds two-factor authentication for all transactions. Your 2FA method is automatically set to your Apple iCloud.
Fuse leverages Solana’s leading smart account standard (
@SquadsProtocol
) to replace seed phrases and single key pairs with multi-factor authentication. Each Fuse wallet deploys a programmable smart account that requires approval from 2/3 designated keys for every transaction.
And as your secured value grows, you can further harden your Fuse setup by upgrading your 2FA Key from iCloud to a Ledger. This increases your security by introducing an external key, but it also increases operational complexity.
When setting up a Spending Limit, you can specify the token, token amount, and time frame that apply. For instance, you can set up a Spending Limit that allows you to transfer up to 300 USDC per week without 2FA approval.
If you lose access to your Device Key or 2FA Key, you can combine your remaining Active Key with a Recovery Key — the third member of the ⅔ Fuse setup — to recover your wallet.
Your Fuse wallet contains a smart account with a multisig controlled by 3 key types: a Device Key, a 2FA Key and Recovery Keys.
Transactions require approval from two of these keys, protecting your assets with multifactor authentication.
With traditional wallets, your seed phrase, key pair, and account are intrinsically linked — creating a single point of failure.

Unlike seed phrases, Recovery Key(s) are powerless by themselves. They need to be paired with a Device or 2FA Key for recovery, removing any single point of failure.
You can add up to three Recovery Keys using wallets like Phantom/Backpack, a hardware wallet or an email.
Your Device and 2FA Key are used for active signing and have full rights. They can create, approve, and execute transactions.
Recovery Keys are used for wallet recovery and have limited rights. They can only approve transactions, not create them.
Recovery is self-custodial, enforced onchain and made easy through the Fuse app.
Learn more about how Fuse solves wallet recovery in the article below.
You can replace a lost Device or 2FA Key by creating a recovery transaction with your remaining Device or 2FA Key.
You can then approve that transaction with a Recovery Key to meet the two key threshold.
This replaces your lost Device/2FA Key and restores access to your wallet.
