This has been a tricky one β¦ lots of trial and error but the final result was worth it i think. Brief was for a high security sheepskin hood with a small glimpse of the outside world. Canvas outer to prevent ripping , thick locking neck strap - and looks a little institutional
So the next chapter in the fur head confinement story - βthe dreaded head boxβ - i read a story years ago where there was a kidnapping that described one of these ... my mind got to work π. Modified recently to padlock π. I am currently working on a mark 2 π
Anyone recall this newspaper/magazine ad from the 1980βs in the UK? - i seem to recall it had something to do with pensionsβ¦ trying to find a decent quality image (this was a photocopy i grabbed before we had such things as digital images!! )
Giving some thought to the year ahead β¦ things to do more of, less of, new things and things to stop. Iβd like to spend more time wearing what makes me smile ( rather than worry about what others may think! ), make some more of my ideas.. to experience a padded cell and cage π
Iβve been making many commissions lately : i put all my effort into every one and love helping others realise their ideas - every item unique and made to my best ability ( not always perfect β¦ ). But now its time to focus that energy on ideas I have wanted to make βΊοΈ
Have another pair of these underway now β¦ this time with sheepskin fur on the out too β¦ in the meantime this pair are on their way to a new home (complete with matching hood too ). Very pleased with the supple cream leather straps on the mittens π
Decided to part with these β¦ imported into UK from USA - beautiful mittens
, hand made but just too large for me. DM of interested - only worn a couple of times.
Iβbeen a bit quiet on here as normal things have been incredibly busy - and hence βkink thoughtsβ take a back seat β¦ but its all about balance - someone once said βdo something each day that makes you smileβ β¦ so I did π
The next steps in the hood development timeline ... you rember the canvas pattern from the last hood design ... well find a soft , dense , but not too long sheepskin fur ... and this happens π ( now no need to remove the hood to get a little fresh air ...)
