I think Nigerians are just being funny. Firstly, you can't force a rebrand decision on stakeholders of a company. 2. Aesthetics is not everything. A logo has to support the brand's vision, strategy and work in a unified system. Farouq did great but the company knows better.

NGD derailed greatly from what it set out to do from the start. Heck i met amazing designers there including @jobosonchisa . But over time, a one time beam of hope for designers glimmered. The toxicity there reeks from afar. Indeed they've become unsolicited design gods.
