This is a thread about fact checking.
It's a list. Nothing more.
Some of the tweets you see are so bonkers it's hard to understand them, let alone argue them. But do bonk with confidence and these sites will help, but use more than one as some of these sites also have some bias.
Have I got a lovely gentleman to introduce you.
He is moving to ukraine. As a member of Wagner
His name is Sergei Butorin and he will be commander of a motorised rifle platoon.
He was sentenced to life in 2011 for 38 murders.
So I'm sure he will integrate well in peace time.
So the Russians are being given advice about what to take into combat in Ukraine. Because they're beloved motherland will not provide for them.
To start with, they need a big bag. 1
@adnashmyash
She really feels that she's doing a good thing. And yet even if these children had no living parents what would you do? You'd look for other relatives and not just whisk them away from all that they know.
This is indescribable in its righteous evil.
@Maks_NAFO_FELLA
And this is the difference in stark contrast. The Russians think removing Zelensky will win the war. Whereas we know that there are many more like him to take up the reins.
On that note let hope none are successful because he's doing the best job at present.
The Supreme Court of the "Donetsk People's Republic" sentenced the commander of the Azov special forces detachment Anatoly Kilyushik to 25 years in a strict regime colony.
"On July 23, 2014, 16-year-old Stepan Chubenko was arrested in Donetsk on a train because of a blue-yellow ribbon. For several days, the young man was brutally tortured - all his teeth were knocked out, numerous fractures, on July 27 he was shot in the back of the head."
@tassagency_en
Some call it a taboo, other's call it trailblazing.
I like to use the word taboo against more emotive subjects like..illegal invasion, murder of civilians, child kidnapping. You know those things that are taboo in any social situation.
And we thought the painted Ukrainian flag was a good idea . Now this. Good on you Westminster
BBC News - Ukraine war: Road outside Russian Embassy renamed 'Kyiv Road'
The Iranian Foreign Ministry on January 4 summoned France's ambassador to protest cartoons saying that they are an "insult to authority, sanctities and religious and national values".
So let's share one.

@anno1540
Found dead, in water, with his hands tied behind his back.
And if you search for this man's name you'll do him proud by reporting those who are celebrating his death.
Many he RIP
I was good today. I bit my tongue. Hard.
When you're sitting with a patient who's relative is russian and all you get to hear is how ukrainians really hate Russians.
I. Did. Not. Say. Anything.
It was hard
"Children abducted from Mariupol are dragged onto the stage and forced to thank "Uncle Yuri" who "saved" them. Of what? About her parents, her family, her life. A whole new dimension of evil."
Aus Mariupol verschleppte Kinder werden auf die Bühne gezerrt und genötigt, sich bei „Onkel Yurij“ zu bedanken der sie „gerettet hat“. Von was? Von ihren Eltern, ihrer Familie, ihrem Leben. Eine ganz neue Dimension des Bösen.
@critithinkstar
"a tweet supporting Ukraine has lots of reasoned and articulate responses highlighting the hypocrisy or absurdity of the comment.".
Haha. Hahahaha. Hahahhahah.
Are you serious? "Ukronazis, Satanists, western proxies". That's what you call reasoned argument?
@richimedhurst
And another. If hitting a bridge is terrorism, then what do you call hitting a residential building at night. When everyone's in bed. Maximum occupation. In an area that Russia doesn't occupy?
Are you going to criticise this?
@ajamubaraka
So you're good with humanitarian rights as long as they're not Ukrainian? Or is it that Ukrainians are not the right skin tone?
Don't tout your beliefs and "work" unless you follow through. It just shows you as a hypocrite.
A draft bill proposing to remove criminal liability for Russian soldiers war crimes has passed its first reading in Russia’s State Duma. It would cover crimes deemed to have been “in the interests of the Russian Federation” or its proxy Donbas ‘republics.
@ggcnet_capital
@BuaaYang
I pray for all innocents.
And you must be hurting.
But he was a soldier in a war. An illegal war and he killed people.
If you sign up to fight, you sign up to die. That is the likely outcome for any soldier in war time.
Unlike Ukrainians who had no choice except to fight.
@bennyjohnson
Values. When a person is governing a country at war, filled with death and destruction, and you worry about whether he wears his tie correctly.
Do you want him to dress up? Give you something else to criticise? If this is all you can criticise you really are dredging.
@MissUniverse
You do know that allowing someone to enter stage in a blood red dress whilst being announced as representing Russian imperialism is a tacit support for Russia's illegal acts?
Anyone want to support a guy in Edinburgh?
Just outside the Russian consulate.
Melville Street. Round the corner from where I used to live so I can tell you there's some nice eating places if you need a break.
Close to the library of mistakes, funnily enough.
@EmeraldRobinson
46? Is that ALL!!!??
You need 46 for each region to have any point in having them!
I mean you have to careful the variants don't cross contaminate so each has its own regional speciality. A bit like borscht.

Are you going to use this as the basis for a "look ma" "look what they said"?
Do you want to put children before your "readership"?
#RussiaReturnUkrainianChildren
Then they'll need shelter.
Already we can see that they're learning to live at one with the land. A talent that will suit them well for future.
As an example: border with Kazakhstan 2
Listen to the sound of this scared cat. And then spread that across all the animals and people. No one man should be allowed to do what he is doing. The Russians need to seriously rethink putin.
@emeriticus
Being a bit over dramatic aren't you?
Foreign leaders are often with you. That's what happens. And every foreign leader is after something. Just like when US goes visiting other places. It's called politics. Something you obviously don't know about.
I've got covid!!!!! Lots of swear words. My brain isn't working
And my interviews tomorrow.
The good thing is if I'm not good enough I can blame it on being unwell.
@Unwoke_Berlin
If that's your expectation of nafo, I have to wonder what exactly you tell the ladies.
Your imagination is definitely not rooted in reality.
@MMAtylander
Russia is losing. They're employing propaganda when it's mentioned. Casualty figures, current troop strengths, & positions can be followed & monitored. It's upsetting to a lot of people, but the fact of the matter is that Russia is losing.
Can we stop now? Save Russian lives?
@jaanikamerilo
@DucuGavril
"If one of those elements is not fulfilled, then in a few years we will face another crisis, and not only from Russia, because everyone is learning."
This. Totally this.
Then then there's your transport home.
A number of options here. You can have the premade option that you carry with you.
Also good for sleeping in. But hard on your back.

Goulash. So should I have used a bigger pot or less ingredients?
And yes I'm a greater believer in one pot meals, so everything goes in.and vegetables last or my son won't eat it.
I had a hard day today. Although it was harder for my patient. No, sorry, it was harder for her husband.
It was sudden, but protracted.
And there were a lot of tears.
After 60 years he no longer has a Scrabble partner.
Most importantly though, is how to pack to go home. Don't forget to package up your white goods safely. After all what proof does your family have of your life if you don't return something white to them.
Personally I'd go for a white flag. But well Russians....3
Well this is interesting.
This death was behind the front line and at close range.
I wonder if someone will parade this guy's skull as a trophy?
BBC News - Notorious Russian nationalist Igor Mangushev shot dead in Ukraine
This is a safety announcement.
When allowing any of your children to help in cooking, please ensure that they know the difference between rosemary and lavender.
That is all.
@ProudSocialist
Does it make you feel good to write this? Peace talks won't prevent anything nuclear.
Binding agreements that Russia won't renege on might. But then Russia likes to change the deal. So no that won't work either.
@AlexKokcharov
Well they got to Ukraine and back very quickly. Bearing in mind they would have to travel, sleep ,eat and wash. Shoot a few guns off on video. And then go and capture POWs.
Or you can take the wise option of marching on Moscow.
After all, a fire will keep an individual warm, but it can burn a whole government.
And as a Russian who cares so much for your neighbouring countries, it is only fair that the fire is big enough for your neighbours to see.
Or you could take the drunken route, where you feel no pain and nothing affects you.
After all, you'll be cold and wet a lot of the time, now that the year is ending, in a foreign country, far from home

@No2NatoNo2War
You know what's funny about this?
Where are your supporters in this? Where are the multitudes begging to hear your voice?
They're not there, are they?
You. Are on your own.
What you need to do is get a big piece of paper. Write the date on it. Then stand in front of the animals and take more than one photo, or a video and put that up.
Give people some confidence that you are who you say you are
And allow replies. Or you look like a scam.
