I just learned the child of a Tamil torture victim in Switzerland just died of cancer in #Srilanka - he spent the last decade fighting for asylum and then trying to earn enough money to sponsor his family to join him. I can’t begin to fathom his pain today.

Just do a cursory online search, and try to find equivalence. ISIS maybe? Abu Ghraib? But you won’t find many photos of soldiers in a democratically elected nation treating suspects like that. So please don’t suggest it’s standard practice.
