Confirmed reports of 2 EF1 tornados in JOCO yesterday evening. One includes the Mill Valley HS damage. The other was western Prairie Village to near Fairway. Winds with #1 (110 MPH) winds with #2 (~90 MPH). JL #kswx #fox4kc

Severe weather trends...really(!) need to watch FRI PM and also later SAT into early SUN morning. The atmosphere is going to be primed for supercells, and the wind shear will allow low level rotation. There are a few failure modes to that but my concern is growing. #mowx #kswx JL

Remember over the summer we had some of our all-time highest heat index "feels-like" temperatures? Lawrence hit 134° for a heat index. This morning the wind chill factor was -32°. That's a 166° swing! KC has had about a 155° swing from warmest -> coldest! #fox4kc #mowx #kswx JL
