probably my biggest chase flop ever 2/26/23. drove 8 hours each way to the texas panhandle, left at like 9am got back home at like 3am. saw nothing. storms were so messy and moving so fast. reed timmer did wave at me tho which is absolutely electric

4/2/23, meridian, tx. beautiful storm. biggest success i had up to that point. slow moving, easy chase, pretty. i remember standing in that field just watching and thinking about the present. very peaceful

4/25/23 merkel, tx. my most visually stunning chase so far. slow moving with a beautiful landscape and colors. almost lost a windshield after going down a road that ended with a fence. had to turn around directly into the hail. also ran into pecos hank my idol. 10/10

not a fail but not the best chase day ever. went south, waited too long to catch up north when the dryline gamble didn’t work, then was a bit late but saw some beautiful structure lit up by lightning. also learned a shit ton. overall pretty good. will post pics n stuff soon

illinois chases are so much better than texas chases so far. when i lived in texas i was like 0/10 in tornadoes and now im 2/2 AND they were in july and february. also it’s flat. tx hill country is annoying often

@JATRON_RL thanks man, do a shit ton of research first, it doesn’t just require an app to be able to do it safely but i use radarscope for my radar. i recommend watching skip talbot’s storm spotting “tutorials” to start and then dig deep if you are still interested. great luck

@JcVelli it was very faint to the naked eye. i got there late at around 4:30 and could see some faint colors above and along the horizon but barely. it was almost grayish. the phone camera instantly brought the colors out so much
