It does not start to sync anything before you setup at least one sync.

You probably still have an old version of the app installed. You can download the latest version from the App Store. The bug is fixed in the latest version.

Unfortunately Safari on iOS only supports file downloads up to 1GB in size. Our app on iOS does support file downloads. You can mark them to be "available offline" and you can open them through other apps or export them. A "files app" integration for iOS will come soon.

Have you by any chance tried another browser?
Is it a very large zip file? If so, it may just need to load a little longer to be generated.

As it is still a free account, and we have also described this in our ToS, a free account must log in once every 3 months to prevent a reset. However, you will also be reminded a few times beforehand by email.

As the collaboration option with both read/write permissions is not yet implemented, an exchange of files as you intend would also work via a single account (sharing login) with sufficient storage.

Do you upload your files via the web or the sync client? Because pausing is only possible with the sync client, where you can click "Pause" either in the transfer window or in the sync settings.
