Ever catch a typo so brutal it leaves you scarred, even though you fixed it? I was just proofreading my grant application and spotted the phrase: ‘rapid defensive farting behavior’ DARTING. Darting behavior. Imagine if I had submitted that. Jfc, I’m still shaking.

@HPluckrose The ‘micro’ prefix is such a reliable way to repackage nonsense as an new idea. Maybe because we are dazzled by fancy compound words, and ‘micro’ grants a patina of scienceyness? Also, usually refers to small, hard-to-perceive things, and harder to conclusively disprove?
