In 2020, some residents of Garkida, Adamawa state and Korongilum, Borno state, told me that NAF fighter jets refused to open fire on suspected Boko HaramT when they attacked their communities. The residents said they saw these jets hovering, and they didn’t fire the insurgents.

In the 2024 budget, the Hajj Commision has a total allocation of N1.75bn. But it would interest you that in 2020, the Hajj Commision declared a N2bn revenue from Hajj levy alone. Revenue from this levy could fund their overhead put at NN771.9m for 2024.

This is replicated across the MDAs in various forms. On the Welfare Packages budget line, something interesting is happening as this provision covers payment of Gratuities. It also covers care for the Aged and People with various Health Conditions.

On the capital expenditure, the state had recorded N18.5bn as at Q3, representing 54.5% performance of the estimated N34bn. The overall 2023 revenue budget performance was 84.7%, while the total expenditure performance for the period under review stood at 74.1%. End.

The entire 2022 budget as presented by former Gov. Fayemi was N100.8bn. In the 2023 budget, N32.9bn is the total allocation for capital projects in @ekitistategov . So, it is NOT possible this PHC here costs N91bn.

Additionally, N5.07bn was realized from Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), representing 32.1% performance of the projected N15.8bn. For the Capital Development Fund (CDF) Receipts, N3.03bn was realized, translating to 55.1% of the projected N5.5bn.

The largest laboratory in the University of Lagos— a massive three-wing complex— was built by MFM’s D.K Olukoya. RCCG is building Dialysis Centres in public hospitals. About the second largest IDPs camp in the north-east then was managed by the church. And so on.

Church has done so much more for Nigeria as a country in the aspect of Charity. RCCG spend Billions on Healthcare infrastructure annually, Harvesters just did outreach in Ibadan and Jos, Pastor Poju just empowered some entrepreneurs too. These things are not even hidden.

In essence, the figure on that Refreshments and Meals are an aggregate from all MDAs plus statutory sittings and meetings that are serviced by the government. For instance, the meetings of the Economic Management Team that works pro-bono are serviced by the government.
