Every time an auction like this happens I gotta sigh. like 25% of that is immediately going to taxes to begin with… There are SO many makers that still charge 4K or less, you don’t need a suit by a “household name” maker. Why insult artists for their success??

Pretty upsetting to read assumptions from con staff about what the suits belonging to my friends are used for. I have been a handler for the water dog and it is not what they are saying it is at all. Just disappointing. I have suits on two legs that are more hazardous to wear

In 2020 I paid $231 for a 3x1 gallon flex foam cast kit, today it was $311 before tax for the exact same brand, type and amount. It’s happening with almost every material, cut your makers some slack while we play catch up with prices ;-;

I’ve had a lot of questions about eye mesh for dye sub recently. It is white PVC mesh commonly used in PCs. Holes are 0.5mm and mesh thickness is 0.45mm. Go on alibaba and search for mesh then message a manufacturer to buy mesh with any hole size/thickness you want

It’s an overwhelming feeling of not knowing what to do. I don’t talk about it much, but our dad is not in our lives anymore (deservedly so, he is not a good person). So now losing our mom is very difficult. My sister is only 18, and I will be responsible for her from now on.

Flipped menma inside out, and repatterned the crotch area big time. Dropped it 8-10 inches, then removed her arm flaps and extended them 7 more inches down the sides (they ended at my waist before). Patterning now to make some new padding

@FurFest I think there is a big misunderstanding about fursuit making here… many aspects of making require loud machinery, safety equipment, ventilation, access to equipment that is unreasonable to bring to a con space… it’s more than quietly gluing and sewing!
