sometimes, i see myself in jungwon's eyes and remember that, surely, there must be some goodness in me to be deserving of his light, that i must've done something right to be worthy of his presence in my life.
and in this essay, i will expound on why a person's socioeconomic standing may greatly influence their confidence when it comes to love (specifically in letting themselves be loved)
ni-ki said something during their final ment that brought me to tears, and it was along the lines of "loving someone for so long is hard enough, so we're always thankful that you all choose to stay."
an assigned leader of a group with big shoes to fill in at 16... debuting during such a harsh time and under rough circumstances while carrying a reputation is not for the faint of heart; and yet, jungwon led the group through and out of the woods
one day, i know my love will consume me. maybe it will even bring me to my end someday. nevertheless, i continue to do it because this is what i'm here for: to love and let others know just how deserving they are to be loved.
once you realize that not everyone has the people you have in your life, you'll see how fate has always been at work for you. imagine never meeting the people you love right now or never finding people who share the same interests as you. fate has always been there.
bursting through sunoo's room without a single knock just to use his bathroom and have sunoo's cleansing foam fall into the toilet... that's the youngest child, alright!
love is change, and yet it is constant. love is spring leaving and winter coming, and yet it is also the promise of spring again. "if to love was to lose, then why was my heart fuller than it had ever been before?" love is sacrifice, and yet there is also a sacred satisfaction.
what makes this funnier (and fonder) is the fact that the rest of them wouldn't admit that jungwon was the weak link >< they just let him be and adjusted to him accordingly
the contrast between the horse and the motorcycle alludes to the contrast between the ancient and the modern, and it works so well. their outfits also reflect this, too.
to love you is to make you my favorite anecdote, something i like to tell strangers and in an effort of introducing myself. after all, everyone in my life knows you because they know me. and because they love me, i'm sure that they love you, too.
jungwon is easy to love simply because he loves just as easily and effortlessly. he doesn't hoard love only to those very close to him. he makes sure it reaches everywhere, even the hearts tucked away in hiding. his love penetrates high walls and lights up dark corners.
i have so much time in my hands but at the same time i feel like i'm running out of it and i feel like i can do everything once i put my mind in it but also i don't think i'll ever be able to actually do everything i want and it's just frustrating how i keep on wanting so much
some would say "i love my members," but only jungwon would say, "the little things that i did with my members really cheered me up. we'd rehearse a lot, and saying things like, 'let's go, together' before we go on stage; those little things really lifted me up."
desperately need everyone to understand that the love that enhypen speaks of is so similar to romantic & victorian poetry, particularly on putting devotion above duty and accepting one's fate in exchange for fatalism, and hold a deeper kind of passion.
Xport News shares that sasaeng fans have stolen ENHYPEN members personal information and assigned flight seats using the members name on their last flight to Korea.
ENHYPEN tried to change to a different flight than the scheduled upon returning to Korea. In the process, they
the idea of being certain about what you feel despite the uncertainty of the world is so sweet. that even if things change and time passes by, i am sure of myself and what i have for you. that's why love is resilience and resistance.
clearly, the romance that enhypen portrays in their music is religion. reverence. the kind of romance that looks at love and willingly puts a stake through one's heart. the kind of romance that gives up the promise of immortality for the possibility of love and life.
i desperately need him to know that every time he comes online, even for just a fraction of a minute, a million hearts soften and a million souls warm up thanks to his light.
👤 thank you for turning my worst day to the best
🐈 today is friday, why was it the worst?
🐈 but still it's nice that i made an engene's day less worse... made it not the worst
🐈 even though i can't make it from the worst to best
i am rich with words. love does that to me. there's a poem at the tip of my tongue whenever i see you, and yet, the moment you see me, i lose all my sensible faculties. i am drowning in the sea of you, losing hold of all my words. love does that to me, too.
i don't think people often realize how unfair it is that jungwon had to give up so much at such a young age. aside from giving up certain freedoms, he also had to dedicate his youth to working for his dream; despite that, some people still feel entitled to invade his privacy.
if there's one thing i learned that i hope i never forget, it's that love is revolutionary. it doesn't just sit there to look pretty and smell good. love—true love—gives people the courage to be and to do, urging us to act on our love no matter the constraints or consequences.
one thing about writers is that more often than not, they are in love: with their worlds, with their lives, with their persons. a writer is a lover who has the courage to bleed on paper everything she holds dear in an attempt to make that love more real and last forever. [...]
enhypen loves their fans. they genuinely do, and i believe that. that's why they don't hesitate when indulging them and doing fanservice. what makes my heart hurt is the fact that people exploit their kindheartedness to the point where they forget about boundaries.
omg apparently people are expecting an actual essay but unfortunately i don't have the capacity to actually articulate my thoughts on this BUT!!!! i recommend watching "third world romance" to get a gist of what i would say
jungwon's improving english skills are clearly a manifestation of his love for us. as he wanted to communicate more with us, his love afforded him the confidence and courage he needed in learning the language. it might be nothing to others, but it means so much to him (and us)!
for the lack of better words, jungwon truly is the master of all the love languages. he understands how actions speak better than words but also knows the weight that words have to us. he's not afraid to express how much he wants to thank each one of us personally. (+)
i've said this before, and i'll say it again: enhypen is surely part of the handful of people in the industry who are genuine with what they do and aren't afraid to wear their hearts on their sleeves. no one can tell me otherwise.
looked up the symbolism of orange blood but ended up finding some for “blood oranges,” the fruit. taking into account their lore, it kinda makes sense.
to love jungwon is to learn that you have to forgive yourself, that you are living your first life after all. to love jungwon is to be gentle to everyone, especially to yourself; because, above all, to love jungwon is to learn that love goes both ways—from and towards you.
here's another kind of romance!!! found in the home!!! doing a very mundane and routinely things with the people you love!!!! going grocery shopping, doing the laundry, spending time at home, and even brushing your teeth!!!! there's vulnerability in the domesticity!!!
i said this before and i'll say it again: enhypen is built to venture into uncharted territory simply because people see and believe in their abilities, and it shows in their music and performances. they don't necessarily conform to what's happening; they are THE happening!
sunghoon is... he's beyond our comprehension... he's just so divine, like what the poets think of when they envision god... you'd see him do the warmest grandest gestures of love and say the sweetest things known to man... and then he'd do something loser-esque like that tiktok
my heart aches so good because they really chose the "engene" version to be the one where they're just them (essentially). no theatrics or pretense. it's just us and them in the warm comforts of home.
i'll never get tired of saying how loving jungwon has shown me that the human heart is capable of growing as it can continuously make room for more love, for more people to love, and for more reasons to choose love above all & despite everything.
whereas dark blood is lore-heavy, i think orange blood perfectly encapsulates them as youthful artists. it sounds so different from everything that they have done because it's elevated and (dare i say) has this softer romance to it but you can still tell that it's
#them
.
very dear to me how every time sunoo tears up, all the members immediately gather around him, touching him & holding him as if to let him know that they're there with him... and to think that they just let him cry, too...
no because listen i was so prepared to digest and dissect the mv as soon as i watch it but now i can't stop smiling it's just so quirky and so comical not a single coherent thought in my head right now bthb is just so fun
an act of looking is an act of love. an act of seeing is an act of love. an act of knowing is an act of love. an act of recognizing, of remembering, of returning again and again is an act of love.
be unapologetic when you love. own it. feel it. endure it. never do anything halfway, and never give only half your heart. don't just dip your toes in and call it a day; dive in, headfirst, and see just how strong a person becomes when they love.
there is romance in angst. romance in anguish. romance in ache. there is romance in the waiting, the wondering, the wanting. likewise, there is romance in nostalgia. in looking back. in holding on. in hoping for. there is romance in choices: only if you say yes.
ni-ki has a certain characteristic flair when he dances. i can’t exactly explain, but you can feel it when you watch him do his thing. he has this attitude the moment the music starts, and the atmosphere around him shifts in his favor. it’s like gravity; he’s gravity.
and once belift fully realizes sunghoon's magnitude, they better keep on putting him out there. modeling gigs, commercial shoots, variety show appearances, acting gigs, and the works! they get into him, and soon enough, they'll also get into enha.
in my opinion, enha are have become (and continue to become) prolific visionaries, especially with how they continue to expose themselves to various musical art forms. they, along with their team, always test the waters of different styles and genres—which i applaud them for.
i love you because you are good to me. you are good to me because you let me love you. you let me love you because you know i deserve this. i deserve this because i am good. i am good to myself because i love you.
jungwon doing his best to communicate his sentiments as inclusively as possible by speaking in english EVEN IF it's not required of him is just so heartwarming... he puts in the extra effort just because he can... just because he wants to...
i think one of the main struggles that xo faced is that it wasn't what everyone was expecting based on how it was set up. most of us, if not everyone, was looking forward to something symphonic or orchestral because that was how it came on to us (weverse con & concept cinema).
jungwon, to me, is greater than cupid. he's more than valentine or eros. no matter how significant those other names are to the idea & image of love, they've never made love feel more real, more tangible, and more possible than how jungwon made love is.
after manifesto and dark blood, i’m pretty sure that everyone and their mothers know deep down that enhypen is all the rage. they don’t do trends because they're the ones who set them. they’re progressive, revolutionary, and avant-garde.
🦊: the other members prepared something so let's do that!
🐥: happy birthday in the future take care of your body and eat your meals well i will support you from far i will buy you meat! hbd

it's giving "the world begins at a kitchen table. no matter what, we must eat to live. [...] perhaps the world will end at the kitchen table, while we are laughing and crying, eating of the last sweet bite."
starting to realize that maybe some coincidences aren't coincidences at all. maybe they're just meant to be. maybe the reason is still far ahead into the future. or maybe, just maybe, there is no reason at all; it just is.
there's a certain tenderness in the way jungwon moves about in the world. he is soft and strong, slowly but steadily shaping other people's lives and leaving his light lingering even as he walks out the door. he's like experiencing god for the first time in your life.
just as i said earlier, heeseung is literally the once-in-a-genration singer that we get. easily among the greatest vocalists in the industry. not only does he know his voice well enough to sing beautifully, but he also gives his voice different flairs & flavors when he does.
you might think that you're sunoo's
#1
lover, but then the rest of enhypen walks in, and suddenly, you're down to the seventh place. those boys cherish each other more than we can ever know, and that's wonderful.
@ENHYPEN_members
call me old fashioned but i was raised to serve my husband. i clean the dishes and cook his food. i do whatever he says because he is the love of my life and he makes the rules around the house. he owns me. if he ever cheats on me it's because i was lacking.
he's so so so warm that he melts even the coldest facades, making it so easy for even the loneliest people to find comfort in him. he cares so actively and doesn't hold himself back from letting people know that he cares so much. jungwon has truly the kindest and loveliest soul.
jungwon is literally my spring day. just as the flowers bloom and withers and waits for spring to come again, i trust that at the end of the day, in whatever form, he'd come by to remind me that i had hoped & lived & loved today and can do all those again tomorrow.
one of the god-tier vocalists in the game right now! his range is crazy insane. he knows his vocal tone & color and utilizes them masterfully, always giving us something new but still making it feel "him."
enhypen is constantly proving to be the 4th gen avant-garde artists that they are, making bold moves and revolutionary choices. they're the modernists of their generation, and they are not afraid to experiment and explore uncharted territories!
i've never been the most religious person ever, but anytime someone tells me that they pray for me (my wellbeing, my ambitions, etc), i like to think that we're put on earth for this sole purpose: to spare and share our faith for and with others.
no, because it's ridiculous to me that enha still isn't a household name domestically despite how obvious it is that other companies & groups are keeping a close eye on their every move. with how huge they are abroad and how artful their craft is, it doesn't add up.
i don't know if it's just me but it always seems like enha has fun the most when it's with live bands... something about the music being as alive and present as them on stage... they carry more confidence whenever they perform live while in front of fans...
jungwon really is too good for this world. while he continues to act with grace and patience, he also stands his ground and asserts himself, making his desires crystal clear. he deserves so much better.
if you truly love the boys, then you'd believe in their capacity for taking accountability and making a change. we've done it before, so what's wrong with doing it again?
sunoo loves them just as much as they love sunoo, and every akgae who says that they hate each other is shaking right now. you'll never be right about them! that's family, and nothing will tear their family apart!
some people just make it so easy for me to love them and i don't think they're aware of how effortless it is to be in love with them and even if i try to be as articulate as i am now i always end up at a loss for words whenever i have to actually speak of how fond i am of them
grief is gravity. despite others saying that grief is the desperate emptiness inside of us, i say that it is an aching tumor that sits atop every single minute, every single moment, and every single memory that we hold warmly. it pulls at everything, like an anchor, to stay.
now... can we all please agree that whenever an enha member goes live, we ask them about their experience and process working on this album? enough of that y/n "please notice me" bullshit. i believe they worked so hard for this, and for that, they deserve respect & recognition.
one thing about jungwon that i find extremely admirable is the fact that he leads by the heart. he's the kind of leader who is kind and compassionate, who knows when to speak up for the team and when to give the space up to his members. at such a young age, too!
it's no ordinary thing, loving jungwon. every day, you learn that you are capable of goodness because of it. you are reminded that you deserve love, too. you don't need to justify its place in your life; love will always have a seat at your table because jungwon is there, too.
if someone asks you for proof of the red string theory, just show them enhypen. tell them about how they've circled each other even before they came together as a group. tell them about jaywon's taxi story or sunjake's rule-breaking. they've all been tied together ever since.
