Vice President
@MBawumia
addressed the 10th Annual International Tax Conference in Accra yesterday where he made a statement we fact-checked to be false more than two times.
Kwaku Agyemang-Manu, health minister, said the World Health Organisation (WHO) has assessed Ghana and South Korea as the two countries on the globe who got the COVID-19 management right.
We have verified the claim to be false.

According to 2022 the Press Freedom Index by Reporters Without Borders, Ghana fell from its 30th position in the global ranking in 2021 to 60th in 2022.
In Africa, the country nosedived from 3rd to 10th. This is Ghana’s worst performance in 17 years when it placed 66th in 2005.
We have just spoken with Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, the GJA President. He says he has not received any threats following his speech yesterday.
"There's no threat. Nothing like that," he said.
