Generally that’s a good idea but she was in that spot for 3 weeks before she died. At some point you need to make a move if you aren’t found instead of withering away & dying

My friend is a sheriff and he walked into a domestic violence call with his partner. Both parties were calm once they arrived and seperated. Within 2-3 mins after he got stabbed several times & his partner saved his life & shot the guy. It’s never neutralized.

She had food. She’s was hiking the Appalachian Trail, hikers carry 2 weeks plus worth of food & resupply along the way up or down.

The mtn is hard enough as it is climbing with your own weight & oxygen tanks. Adding on dead weight to that on extremely steep mtn is too dangerous and it endangers others.

You probably never been on a hike that intense. She set up camp in a thick part of the forest so completely covered by tree canopy. If she set up in a clearing a helicopter might have seen her or the signal fire she attempted to build
