I really like the phrase "nail it before you scale it" and couldn't agree more with the underlying concept. Too much money in startup ecosystem = too much temptation to scale it BEFORE you nailed it. Afterwards, it's hard to rewind the clock and separate noise from real demand.

First, a few stats on the impressive momentum behind the recall, momentum that continues to build. 80,000+ signatures (in 2 of 3 cases) spearheaded by nearly 1,000 volunteers. As of 9/16, 1,377 people have donated to the cause (82% of them SF residents) – 2/3rd donating <$100.
