Want to learn more about the lingerie brand you're considering purchasing from? We've published over 200 reviews covering everything from luxury brands to budget ones, and including period underwear, lingerie subscriptions, full bust bras, and tons more!
😂 Oh dear, Victoria's Secret just gave an interview saying "We’ve had three pregnant models walk the show... all of these things that [Savage x Fenty] “invented,” we have done and continue to do." Here are VS + Savage's pregnant runway models, see if you can spot the difference.
We're heading into tights season, so here's a reminder that I wrote a big guide to what those hosiery denier numbers mean and what different deniers typically look like:
Previously a wedding dress atelier, Ukrainian label Apilat is now dedicated to creating lingerie and loungewear with the same level of luxury, artistry and craftsmanship.
Take a look at their full summer collection on the blog:

Also, they got it wrong, they've had 4 pregnant models walk their shows but I couldn't attach any more images. Here's the other one, dressed to show off that growing bump.

If you're after a dramatically-glamorous robe that isn't *super* expensive, take a look at Lithuanian brand Kafemme. These three pieces range from 155-190€ (and they're made to measure too).

I've been freelancing now for 2 and a half years, and one thing has become super clear: the people/brands that reply to an initial quote with "can you do it any cheaper?" are *always* the most difficult clients to work with, and also never turn into long-term clients.
PSA - if you're considering buying a 'silk' lingerie piece that seems unusually cheap, check the description for the fabric contents, and then double check it!
Not all silk lingerie is *super* expensive, but if the price seems too good to be true there may be good reason for it.
Selfridge's is selling this Bordelle high-waist brief as a bra, and it works *so well* 🤯 (I don't think this was intentional since neither brand mentions it being able to be worn two ways)

To me they feel like that person who realised they were wrong and should have followed everyone else's advice, but they're too embarrassed to admit it so they just keep pretending they were right. Especially the whole being worried about being seen as 'pandering'.
And 6. Where to find modern bullet bras and cone bras. A just-for-fun piece for fans of retro lingerie that ended up being way more popular than I'd expected

Happy New Year everyone! I'm off next week but plenty more to come in 2024 ✨
Going through some old blog posts, and not buying a set from this Coco's Retro Closet 'Flower Fairy' collection while it was still available is one of the worst lingerie decisions I've ever made.
Ever spotted different lingerie brands using the same fabrics? Only the largest brands can afford custom-made fabric, or buying enough to demand exclusivity. Plus, smaller brands sometimes buy the unused excess from larger ones

Intrigued by these Wolford Individual tights. I'd seen the picture on the left before but didn't realise they are actually two separate pieces.
Has anyone tried these and can tell me if they stay up??
I really don't understand how these types of articles make it to national press.
An entire article about 'crotchless, bottomless shorts' and yet it's styled with lingerie and in the lingerie category on the website. Perhaps, just maybe, they're not shorts?
This bra costs 500€ (about £446 or $585), and that's largely due to the floral motifs - they're Venetian lace, which *alone* took 4-5 days to create.
Find out how Venetian
#lace
is made and why it's such a time-consuming process here:
Agent Provocateur has put a lot of emphasis on re-releasing bestsellers in new colours the past few seasons, and I'd really love to see them do an 'archives' collection along the same lines but based on some of their most iconic pieces from over the years.
Just one bra?! YES!
📸 The DAISY underwired bra snapped in-progress.
The mesh panels at the top of the cup are hand pleated before this process starts, and we bulk produce straps at the start of each week to save time.
Ever have any que…
Today in misleading lingerie marketing.
Supporting around 80% of the weight from below is exactly what a bog-standard, underwired bra is designed to do.
That time I went to Venice and saw how they 'sew' lace by hand there:
Guess how long the floral motifs on this bra took to make? Hint: the answer is in days, not hours.
To think that you could instead buy this Kiki de Montparnasse longline (cotton-blend lace + silk) *and* this on-sale Studio Pia longline (silk-wrapped straps, 24k gold-plated hardware + tulle lining) and still have £83 left over
In love with the Soaemias lingerie dress by Keòsme 😍
If you're wondering about the fit or quality, I recently reviewed another piece from the same collection - different look but same all-elastic construction. Check it out here:
It has been ages (a year??) since I had time to sew anything, but I'm considering making up a batch of these suspender belts. Possibly your last chance ever to get one with how my work schedule's looking- I don't plan to reorder once my supplies run out. Who'd be interested?
I love that even after spending years writing about lingerie, I still come across things I've never seen before from time to time - like these ostrich feather hold-ups!
Made myself a couple of masks this weekend, this one's my fave 🌺🌿🌸. It's lined with fabric from a pair of shorts my son had outgrown because that's the best I could find at home! Contemplating making a matching dress from the rest of the embroidery, just for something to do 😅
It can be hard to find vintage lingerie you like that's both in your size & in wearable condition. But there are many brands making vintage-style lingerie, so you can still get the aesthetic.

I finally got round to adding the last three pink/lilac Trailing Flowers suspender belts to the shop. I won't EVER be making more of these, so grab your size quick if you want one! 🌸🌱🌺
