@hakuyalabs Warudo VR tracking beta is out! Including prop tracking! This tracker is attached to an older iPad with NDI monitoring. With a WIFI 6 device, you may have even less latency.

@HazVsRPG The launch's technical problems sank it, but the game itself, the stories, and the art oozed love for the genre and what inspired it. I loved the combat as a sword user, no other combat system made me feel like I was a cybernetically enhanced legendary samurai.

@LinusTech Nvidia is the leader because of drivers and software. Stability should be a benchmark over just raw perf. Instead it's often a footnote or mention. Ya'll treat PCs like race cars. Using an Intel Arc GPU was like going back to 2005 with the amount of BSODs there were.

Rave Time! 😂Sub-alert test using @LumiaStream and @hakuyalabs . Connected over DMX/MIDI. It's fun but it also means I can sync both apps to control stage lighting. 👀

Updates to the facial capture helmet. Replaced the plastic with long aluminum arms that came with gaskets. It's way more rigid. The counterweight is on along some decorative patches. :D Still abit front heavy but swapping out some of the pads inside the helmet made a difference.

In Secondlife, someone asked for support for an item I made, and they teleported me to help. They dumped me into a hot tub surrounded by furries with their junk hanging out. Went through troubleshooting steps to get their item working. Fixed it and left.

@JamieCharlesEl1 Simple but fun with other skills in conjunction with stealth and AI behavior. I'm not trying to get samurai-style combat here, I said cyborg enhanced samurai-like an anime. I got that feeling in the linked video and enjoyed it. I'm not sad at all about that.

@Kana_Fuyuko Vtubers (not the viewers) are a tiny segment to go after with VC funding. I think B2B is a more practical approach to staying afloat while having open access to an app for indies. Engineering as marketing and building an ecosystem of subject experts and community.

I am so proud of SlimeVR!!! They collabed with Sony's Mocopi and you can achieve better tracking for Mocopi thanks to SlimeVR (Drift will always happen but at least SlimeVR will help with improvements). GO SLIMEVR!!!!!!

Couple weeks ago I got diagnosed with severe sleep apnea after a sleep study. >40 interupts in an hour. Week on a cpap treatmet later down to 2.4. Dark circles around my eyes I've had for over a decade seem to be slowly fading. Mornings are abit easier. 💤Still a ways to go.

I walked into an upcycle construction warehouse and saw a used "computer desk" for $80. Looked closer and it was an Anthro Cart in amazing condition. 😱Nearly ran to the counter to buy it. They were $1300 10 years ago. Dream desk for me. Now to figure out where to put it. 🤔

Had been worried about the long-term work implications due to having sharp pains in my arm. Luckily Doctor said it was not permanent but would take quite a while to fully heal. I guess I'll need to use my feet in Zbrush from now on. 😅

I spent a decent chunk of the pandemic working onsite supporting streaming and YouTube content. Single vmount battery powers this wireless Sony A7III setup for about 4-5 hrs. That wall was not green before 2020. 😄

Early on I got asked 3D print PPE. I can test and prototype but medically approved and production speed are two things I can't offer with my printers. Consider supporting instead. They can make dozens more medical approved masks in the time I can make 1.

It's kinda funny in 2008 I used to work at a university digital media studio that employed green screens, motion capture, and Unity3d for live stage productions. I diverged to focusing on game art. Now it's all coming back around again for live virtual production & vtubers.

All my stream related gear is now repurposed for work and online webinars/videos. I managed to snag a few things from eBay just before things got nuts with the online shift. Setup RTMP on Google Cloud to take in phone cams and GoPros. Streamdeck was also vital while live.

Unity's new licensing terms only affect gaming apps for now. Vtubing apps and other software related to film, education, etc., likely wouldn't be included. However, that could easily change in the future.
