I have no interest in the richness or poorness of the woman I'll choose to marry. But you see, class, style, grace, abundance, and a penchant for risk, curiosity, and adventure are non-negotiable.

A little unrelated, but I've turned down a lot of pretty and decent girls who made the first move on me, 'cos they didn't have any substance. I'm sure they'll be the type to say, "I'm a good girl, I should get it." But you can be good and pretty, but you're boring as hell.

You know why she had the guts to do that? 'Cos if the man had declined, another man will step in to show he's a "bigger man." You know why he didn't decline, 'cos he wants to show himself? He's timid as hell, like a lot of Nigerian men. But on Twitter, it's "fear women."

Lots of Naija women bore me to shits. My messages are full of texts that stopped 'cos I chose not to settle for a beautiful mute, who has no true excitement, passion, or thrill. One who can hardly give an explanation of something that lifts her spirit. Yet, expects desire.

BS. You're supposed to protect women of whom you're in affinity—daughters, sisters, mothers, romantic partners, and friends. Not "women." The society men set to protect women are the same ones women held a duty to. In this society, the justice system must protect everyone.

I sometimes explain to men about the women I've loved, and they found it unreal. Men did it all—dates, pimping, spending, sex. They never thought a woman could just be interesting. They never thought you could just enjoy a woman. I mean, to just really like her. Not her body.

I criticise Naija men and Niaja women, but I will hardly do is: join Naija men in criticising Niaija women for their ways. 'Cos, I know Naija men. Oh, I know them so well. The women are a clear reflection of the loosers that approach them daily.

You can be defensive about allegations laid against you. You can't defend the crimes of another person. Many men (and women) here will beat shege in a man who kills if he's in their neighbourhood. But don't burden people with the need to perform virtue, anytime, a story trends.

I don't have a tough framework with women. I often triple text, I send VNs, I express myself, I don't keep scores, etc. If she's not down for what I'm after, I leave. And I often know this soon enough. My main priority is my well-being first, not how I appear to others.

@jayythedope Men can not be raped under Nigerian law. Our criminal code hasn't changed much in 100 years. Legislators will prolly laugh if you clamour for changes on this. So if there's rape, have your lawyer find other crimes in the act (tho usually with lesser sentences).

A beautiful lady once wore this thing for me, a dark coloured type; and sat on the arm of my chair. I did nothing but talk about how I couldn't finish a Charles Dickens' cos of hustle and stress. It wasn't discipline or anything. I was just foolish.

I've think I'll not be interested in love until I leave Naija. For the mere fact that I'm not compatible with our contemporary social ideals. I believe in the ordinariness of human life. This is not very appreciated in our dating culture.

I've always prioritised exposure over knowledge. 'Cos, it's not just that I find a lot of information (knowledge) irrelevant, but I believe knowledge without fine accounts of experiences self-awareness is distasteful

I've always considered myself first, an Igbo man, and a worshipper of God. But also, a lover of life—reflected in my obsession with the beauty found in literary and performative arts, history and culture, and human craft in several vocations, but also, in mundane activities.

Fine lively girl makes sexual jokes on IG, and post "flexing" pics. One day she complains of men not wanting to marry her after "fun", so she posts her academic achievements. I felt a some kind of pity: who convinced that their grades influence men's choices of them? Is it a job?

Zenith was started by a group of men. A woman doesn't deserve a sit for the mere fact that she's a woman. Bugger off.

"I'm now blocking rapey men." Goes ahead to block all men who think women should dress decently. Stays men who think women shouldn't dress decently and wonders, "Where did all the good men go?" If you think of it beneath the surface, you may feel actual pity for them, not spite.

@chescaleigh The rationale isn't that all things that end is a failure. It's: a marriage that ends is a failure. If the people moved on fairly well, it means their failed marriage led to something good, not that it wasn't a failure. 'Cos the measure of it's success lies in its longevity.

People who've seen me write or heard me speak often misunderstand me. But since it's often from a good place, I'm good. There's this stupid idea that what moves me in a woman (or anyone at all) is the intellectual disposition to know a thing about everything. But 🥱

@Mrpossidez The avoidance of suffering is a form of suffering. Yet when folks suffer 'cos they're avoiding suffering, they convince themselves they're going through enough. In this sense, those who opt to work in fraud, over legit work, convince themselves they're hardworking.

When you like someone, you need to let go of the idea that they must be for you. You should communicate your likeness in simple and plain terms and later by actions. But you should let them be. Until you're sure you can accommodate who they are. It's not by force.

It's almost like they need to be protected from themselves. Reminds me of the joke Dave Chappelle made that feminism will have better reasoning if it was led by a man. A feminist can call him misogynistic on one hand and say, "I want a strict man who can check me" on another.

You say "Europe is beautiful," and "Twitter intellectuals" will show a pic of a dirty part of Europe to prove you're wrong. Lol, there's a lack of comprehension, then there's a violent mix of arrogance, boredom, and loneliness that makes folks act like they escaped the psych ward

I am too clear, scaringly blunt—hell too obvious & specific—about the things I give a damn about. It sometimes sadden me that many Nigerians, in their lowliness, think being educated and attractive means to engage in bullshit that only makes one feel bigger than the next person.

Sometimes, people don't acknowledge your fine qualities, 'cos of their low self-esteem. They genuinely don't think they can be associated with someone like you. If you kept a distance, they wouldn't just acknowledge you, they'll respect you.

@khanofkhans11_ The women are a lot more hardworking, but not in an admirable way. More like in survival mode. They're so terribly unrefined, they project their self hate on everything, and celebrate their bitchy-ness as cope. Which is why I look down on Nigerians who employ their mannerisms.

An argument is not win/loose. We can agree on a few, disagree on some, and be inconclusive on others. You can tell a person you want to talk with them, but don't have much to say. We grew up in different cultures. It's silly to be annoyed that people enjoy what you hate.

A big part of being a young man of value in Naija is learning to quietly say "e no worth am," in many situations, and walking away. You don't want to expend your energy and resources on things, people, to satisfy your lust, esp in such that it leaves you worse than you were.

You need a type of patience if you need to find that one woman. This isn't the 90s. You can't just hit it off with the girl down the street, especially if she's active on social media. She's subject to a million distractions, marketing campaigns, online feminism and pop culture.

I think a lot of men who focus on raising awareness on how "our women are turning into whores" are virtue signalling. They don't care much about sexual degeneracy. They're just idle folks who like being in a morally superior position.

When the system tries to assure boys that there's no need for men in their lives, the boys will look to the Internet to find men and take out their resentment on girls. Feminism is poison to society.

A lot of girls don't want to exploit your resources. They just want to be with you. But there's a social pressure from other women, especially their "friends," to show that their man has doings. So, they redirect that pressure on you. It's a cultural problem.

Men of old set a system to which people can go from their parent's home to their matrimonial home. Almost all social problems of the world have been caused by the destruction of this system—the original patriarchy. Interestingly, those who attack the Patriarchy, suffer the most.
