Please pray for the repose of the soul of a child who was in my sister’s class. He lived with his mother, who got sent to prison for killing her boyfriend. He then went to live with his father and his girlfriend, who killed him. Six. Years. Old. Head injuries killed him.

Race-mixing seems to be a topic in dispute today. Catholic teaching is this: (1) Race mixing is not sinful; (2) Interreligious marriage is gravely forbidden. Preferring to marry your own race is not sinful. Choosing race over religion is gravely sinful. That is it. End of.

During the Second Boer War, a dying Catholic soldier asked for a chaplain. The nearest priest was 200 miles away, so Lord Roberts sent a train immediately for a priest. The train was ambushed by Boers, but they saluted it when they heard it was to hear a dying man's confession.
