Hello! I'm Emilie, I'm a 20-year-old photographer, and I'm publishing my first photo book. A documentative photo book of my adventures as a study abroad student in Europe, shot on 35mm color film.
If you have a website for you’re photography drop it down here! I'm kind of trying to figure out how to organize my photography and if I should like separate shoots as different tabs, so I'm trying to look at various inspo!
As much as the RB67 takes beautiful photos, I hate using her because it’s like carrying around a hefty kid. I’m gonna try and use her more tho.. kinda have to figure out how to take her safely out of the house. I would feel guilty selling her
I’m starting to believe all film photographers hate each other because of any art community I’m apart of, photographers seem to the most at each other’s throats and disrespectful to each other. It sucks.
Okay.. everyone liked my post yesterday, so meet my children! (In hand: Nikon F2, also included: Mamiya RB67 ProSD, Minolta srt-201, Minolta x-570) have you guys had any experiences with these cameras? ☺️
Adapting my Fuji for my Nikon F lenses for the first time! I’ve had great success with my adaption to my Minolta 50mm 1.4, has anyone else done this with Nikon and have a lens they’ve had good results with?
My grandfather was friends with a very well-known artist who is now 98 years old! I’m visiting him today for the first time since I was younger and he was asking to see my art. I’m nervous to show drawings, but hopefully he likes my photos :)
I think film photographers are masochists. Just got followed by someone that their thing is “photographing w/ a radioactive lens”
Like. Are y’all okay?
Yesterday was the first time I hung out with someone that also didn’t smoke and drink and therefore is the first time I went home from a night out and didn’t feel bad about myself :)
Back in my studio :) unfortunately to capture this lighting when my background comes in my parents are going to have to endure the garage being inaccessible because it’ll block the door 🤭
IT WENT WELL! Def a lot of challenges (there was no groom get ready because of venue issues.. there was a prom IN THE SAME VENUE SAME TIME), but I did it guys!!! I DID MY FIRST WEDDING AS A SECOND SHOOTER!
A really old photo from one of my first rolls. I have a lot of issues with the photograph but I love the lighting so. It's nice to see my evolution with my photographs, probably something everyone should admire about their work more often: how far you've come <3
I took 8 photos on black and white film during my entire 3 months abroad in Europe. This is the only one I like out of them :). Shot on TriX400 expired in 1985, at 100 ISO.
During the eclipse, I watched a man with a Leica just go straight up to a woman setting up a picnic blanket, take a photo of her without saying anything, and continue walking away. She seemed confused.. not exactly how I’d recommend street photog.
We’re going to ignore that the darkslide was improperly put in , in my Bronica, so I shot a whole roll with the darkslide in. But it was kentmere. SO ITS FINE… and I shot most of this on 35mm color.
(taken on iphone)
Fit today! I’m just going to a book sale but I try to take out my camera as much as possible, find whenever I don’t I see something I wanna take a picture of
Boyfriend taking photos of me taking photos >>. Enjoying Minneapolis and my time with my baby! Minneapolis feels kinda barren though (to me, as northeaster)
Def film photography!! The only reason I’ve been able to afford it is I’ve now worked at two film labs which got me free dev and scan. After I stop working I hope I make enough money at my big girl job to continue the hobby / invest in dev and scan for at home.
At the house show I went to today, I tried to compliment another girl who had a Canon Rebel camera. She asked me about my camera, and she said "Oh, I've never heard of that brand (fujifilm)". Wanted to crumple up and die.
