🐻💛 Butchy was Colb’s first coach in the AHL, & then NHL. Butchy & Julie were the FIRST hockey coach/ staff (out of BOS & EDM) that I called when Colb died 3:00am. Butchy recorded a video to play to Colb when he was in a coma, I still have it. Some of the best people we know.

This was taken not long after Colb died. I was moving to Edmonton. His ashes were at my feet. I was in shock. Today, I’m flying back to Toronto for the first time since. Lots of emotions being back in the city, I swore I would never go back to. I call this a grief “victory”.
