My dad started a sentencing at 2. He was supposed to meet his buddy at 6 and we hadn’t heard from him. I texted his counsel to make sure everything was okay. They just finished. 5.5 hours later and with a sentence of half of what the government asked for (and a gl of life).

I will always ask for sceduling accommodations from judges and prosecutors when it comes to being a present parent. Worst case scenario, they say no and I deal. If it rubs you the wrong way that my child is my first priority - I don’t care- that sounds like a personal problem.
