I wrote about what it was like to be friends with former Guantánamo Bay prisoners while reporting as a photojournalist for a week at America’s most shameful facility under extremely limited press access.
My dispatch from GTMO ⬇️
The historic grassroots movement led by Bernie Sanders has been systematically demonized and suppressed so that the broken Democratic Party can repeat the failure of 2016 and rally behind the guy who, tonight, confused his sister for his wife.
Pete Buttigieg outperformed Warren in Iowa, NH, NV, and SC, now dropped out.
CNN reported Warren campaign focused on "blunting the momentum" for Sanders.
Sanders raised $46.5 million in February to Warren's $29 million.
Why continue to split progressive vote?
A lone demonstrator, Ann, in New York City handed out memorial cards today for the anniversary of American peace activist Rachel Corrie’s murder by Israelis in bulldozers on March 16, 2003.

I wrote about how Biden’s inability to admit fault — he has said, “I am not sorry for anything I have ever done” — simply shows that he is a byproduct of an institution of impunity.

Read the statement of the last Afghan in Guantánamo, Muhammad Rahim, in his own words as he fights to be cleared for release. He has never been charged in 17 years, yet is still not cleared for release. (He was the last to be transferred from the CIA torture program to GTMO.)

I was all chill about being laid off from The Intercept but now my roommate and I lost our apartment because of me losing my job, I was then scammed badly for thousands, and now the severance payout is 50% less of what was written on contract because of taxes. Fuck this.
To be clear, the application will not even open the image downloaded from Getty Images that my organization paid for. I see no work around for this and I am losing time.

Drones are the weapon of choice for the U.S. to continue a foreign policy of assassination with impunity around the world. Iran’s Soleimani was assassinated in Iraq, reportedly by drone. More on the legacy of drone warfare here:

She is impressive! It is pretty clear that she is not going to beat Sanders as the Dem nominee. So the question becomes: Why, strategically, continue to split the progressive vote and ramp up attacks on Sanders?

This assassination program must end now.
