A night train from Oostende 🇧🇪 to Warsaw 🇵🇱 by the end of 2022? @EuropeanSlpr has notified the Belgian Railway Regulator of a new Oostende-Warsaw night train. The train will be part of the earlier announced train to Prague and will be split in Berlin.

29th of June 2024 marks the final day for the Breaks on the S43 train to Maastricht. From tomorrow on, this train will become the long awaited Drielandentrein to Aachen via Maastricht, a cooperation between Arriva, NS and NMBS. Time to say goodbye! 👋

MÁV-START has started selling online discounted "Start Europa" tickets from Hungary to a lot more European destinations, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Luxemburg. E.g. Brussels - Budapest for €57. Seat reservations are €1/train.

Final rail trip of 2023. Today I'm taking the new direct suburban service from Liège to Aachen. Since the timetable change this service originates in Liège and is run with a class 18 locomotive and i11 carriages, instead of the wonderful but outdated classiques.

The central station in Amsterdam is a majestic building at strategic location in the heart of the city and at the waterfront. A great place to arrive or depart by night train. Our train to Berlin departs from Amsterdam Centraal every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 22:34.

Yesterday was the final day for the old Belgian classique EMU's to Aachen. From today on, the local train to Belgium is run with a class 18 locomotive and i11 coaches. The train now offers a direct connection to Liège instead of Spa.

Due to construction works around Ekeren, passenger trains between Roosendaal and Antwerp were deviated via the port of Antwerp, a route otherwise not used by passenger trains

Good news for 🇧🇪 Belgium - 🇱🇺 Luxembourg #crossborderrail ! From the new timetable on, all local trains between 🇱🇺 Luxemburg & 🇱🇺 Kleinbettingen will be prolonged on weekdays to 🇧🇪Arlon. This will make for a 30 minute Takt throughout the day, not only during peak hours.

🇧🇪🤝🇩🇪 Something new in timetable year 2025: ICE 318 and 319 will run daily between the 12th of April and the 2nd of November, providing a later option in both directions. Until now, this train only runs on Sundays. They will also run from/to Frankfurt instead of Köln.

Going back from Shiraz to Tehran can be done by flying, but why would you do that if you can take the excellent Polour Sabz sleeper train? Of course tea is served at departure, we are still in Iran! I was also offered some delicious sweets by one of my room mates. @seatsixtyone
