Putting Joost and Eurovision aside completely, a lot of the phrasing I've seen on here is *very* similar to that used to dismiss reports of assault in workplaces and friend groups and, please, just take a second to consider that, as understandably angry as you are.

I've mentioned this elsewhere, but Måneskin winning is a big deal for perceptions of the contest. They're neither your 'traditional big ballad' winner, nor anything that feels novelty (like 'Toy') or circumstantial (like '1944'), they're just a rock band, with a good rock song.

I really don't get any of the concern over a RotW vote though. It won't outweigh EBU counties at all. It will let fans from the Philippines, Canada, Argentina, Japan etc all get involved. It's a universally positive thing and any opposition to that just feels like gatekeeping.
