Starlink is a positive force in the world, bridging the digital divide across the globe. Starlink will boost education, healthcare, and economic opportunities for communities that have limited or no internet access. Everyone at SpaceX is working crazy hard to achieve this.
This was one of my favorite days at work, bringing

@johnkrausphotos
We are planning to salvage the engines and do life leader inspections on the remaining hardware. There is still quite a bit of value in this booster. We will not let it go to waste.
Please, for the love of god, will all domestic US airlines please switch their ISP to Starlink ASAP? I’m not just saying this as a SpaceX employee. I’m simply a human trying to update my inbox and respond to a few emails. This is excruciating.

Main thing right now is to accelerate our supply chain and get our production rate up so we are consistently shipping a 2nd stage/Mvac every 2.5 days. The supply chain is a very challenging thing to accelerate and sustain as we are consuming tens of thousands of specialized parts
Attaining a new milestone of 20 launches with a single booster in <4 years represents a formidable accomplishment. However, ensuring this feat was achieved safely and reliably has posed a monumental challenge. This achievement not only speaks to the remarkable capabilities of the

Polaris Dawn astronaut Sarah Gillis performed the first known violin solo in space, playing "Rey's Theme," from the "Star Wars" series. The violinist shares how she prepared for the out-of-this-world moment to inspire the world.
Obviously I received this award on behalf of the Starship team. We only had two Falcon launches today so I was basically free to make the event. 😂
Thanks for the great event Tim!

Our first Falcon Heavy launch of 2024 (weather permitting)!
Fun fact: Falcon Heavy lifts off with all three cores at 100% thrust, totaling 5.2 million lbs of thrust (23 MN). At roughly t+10 seconds the center core throttles down to 43% thrust to conserve propellant and allow the
At the time, this would have been considered major progress. We launched 18 times in 2017 which was more than double the previous year and more than the last two years combined.
The road to where we are now was paved with blood, sweat, tears, and sacrifice. The road to where we
Everything should be in metric. We need to abandon imperial units once and for all. Such a dumb measurement system, we should be embarrassed that we still use it.

The Starlink team is closely monitoring the debris created by a mishap of the upper stage of the Long March 6A rocket. The debris does not pose a significant immediate risk to the Starlink constellation, but most is likely to remain in space for decades due to the incident

Our flight leader fairing half has flown 15 times. Getting ready for its 16th flight in March. Also have a 14 flight unit and a 13 flight unit (which hopefully flies its 14th flight tonight if weather clears up).

The pad abort test failure was actually a gift (albeit a painful one). We learned something super important that we likely wouldn’t have learned otherwise.

As part our continuing mission to explore the unknown in air and space, we've learned and accomplished so much over the years. And so many more astounding discoveries are yet to come.
It would not surprise me to see this attitude from many. Which is fine. But some perspective: When the Falcon 9 first launch in 2010, the same could be said. We've been launching into space forever, blah blah. But here's the difference. 14 years later SpaceX is launching 100+

SpaceX completed 18 successful missions in 2017, launching flight-proven rockets and spacecrafts for the first time. It was a record-setting year and we were just getting started on our path toward a more exciting future.

It is very important to keep pushing the envelope. This is how we learn, innovate, and ultimately get closer to our goal of full and rapid reusability, which is critical to enable a spacefaring civilization.

😂 we’re trying to keep an eye on both sides of the engine in case any issues develop in flight, such as nozzle streaking (hot/cold spots caused by non-uniform turbine exhaust distribution).
This is how Jupiter has protected earth for billions of years. The gravity of Jupiter keeps most asteroids and space rocks away from Earth. Without it earth would most likely be uninhabitable for humans. Mad respect for Jupiter. ⬇️
