Eliminating parking minimums is good, but what if we instituted a HOUSING minimum for every existing parking space? In order to keep the space, there must be a certain number of OCCUPIED housing units within a 15 min walk. If not, it must be converted. Homes for people, not cars.

There was part of me that was excited to see cops on bikes in SF because that NEVER happens. But these cops had a job to do and that was to make way for cars. People CANNOT get in the way of cars. Because the drivers might kill them!!! The police just want to keep me safe 🙄 /5

• @urbanistcole reminded me of what I and MANY others continuously say. It is indeed tragic how much of our cities are surrendered to cars. Local drivers had to drive on one of the 2000 other streets for FIVE whole hours. How did they ever survive? 13/

Hear me out. Border walls at San Francisco limits. The only way to enter is via bike, bus, train, or ferry. Deliveries may happen via small electric trucks overnight. And ecargobikes + golf carts at any time. Instantaneous best city ever.

@IIHS_autosafety Could it be that allowing children to pilot motor vehicles is a factor? Or maybe internal speed limiters on ALL vehicles might help. Biking or taking the bus seems a sound idea in contrast to teens driving. Any thoughts that aren’t essentially Climate arson, @IIHS_autosafety ?

EVERY e-cargo bike displaces car trips- to school, shopping, soccer... Why not offer e-cargo rebates at least equal to paid out for EVs, which have 10x the GHG emissions, are less affordable, more dangerous, & consume more road space? @bccycle
