I don't usually post personal stuff, but my beautiful little companion, Holly, has passed away today. Time goes so quickly. Cherish every moment you have with your loved ones, human and furry.
Three girls were stabbed to death in Southport just over a month ago, 10 were injured, most of whom were children. Since then, Starmer has barely said anything about knife crime, but he's had a lot to say about smoking outdoors. To call this govt tone deaf is an understatement.
British journalist sits in a city that could be attacked within weeks, and the first thing he asks in the presence of the Ukrainian President is about Downing Street parties. I cannot stress enough how utterly distasteful and disrespectful that is. We have a ludicrous media.🤬
I got an early taster of just how thin-skinned Keir Starmer is. Before the 2019 GE, I quoted him the part of the Labour 2017 manifesto that promised to end free movement with the EU - a promise that he got Corbyn to drop. I just sent him the quote. He blocked me.
This country has spent over £300-400 billion on the cost of lockdowns, and £150 billion on an energy support package. Yet the MSM and the technocratic elite want you to believe a £2 billion tax cut policy is the problem. Dishonesty and misinformation at its absolute worst.
Mask mandates: rich people telling working class people what to wear.
Critical Race Theory: rich people telling working class people what to think.
Climate change: rich people telling working class people how to live.
There's a pattern emerging here. 🤔
What a surprise. The woman who shouted 'white privilege' at Laurence Fox during
#bbcqt
turns out to be a university lecturer in race studies. It's sad seeing universities being turned into such toxic places by these ideological zealots.
'Refugees are welcome here….but not here in my nice home or here in my middle class suburb. I’ll virtue signal. I’ll tell people who raise questions about how many we can realistically take in they’re racists. But I’ll leave the practicalities of all this to the working classes'
Just as they did with petrol last October (a crisis they 100% created), journalist-activists are doing the equivalent of shouting 'fire!' in a crowded room. It's deeply reckless, irresponsible, and an abuse of their power.
We have a MSM that:
- Hates the UK & working classes.
- Tried to overturn a referendum.
- Seeks to create mass panic, e.g. prolong Covid restrictions.
- Turned a minor fuel logistics shortage into a fuel crisis in October.
- Now trying to oust an elected PM.
This isn't healthy.
Lee Anderson lost the Tory whip for his comments about Khan. Wes Streeting can tar a whole swathe of voters as white supremacists and racists and suffer zero political consequences for it. Do tell me how our politics isn't a game rigged towards the left?
I'm truly embarrassed for the
#HouseOfCommons
. It should be discussing Ukraine, NATO, and our defence policy. What our MPs are doing now is not only insulting to Ukrainians, it shows a complete failure to grasp the new highly dangerous world we now live in.
#Partygate
It needs to be made clear to the Fake Conservatives that if they pursue the betrayal of Brexit, not a single one of their seats will be safe at the next GE.
Remember that the people who are taking Greta Thunberg seriously are the same people who told us that Shamima Begum was too young to know what she was doing. The inconsistency of the illiberal elitists is instant comedy gold.
Two leaders. Both attended a gathering when there were restrictions. Both claimed they were work events. The Tory leader is fined, the Labour leader gets cleared. It seems this is a country where you get convicted based on your political affiliations now. Worrying development.
What makes it worse is that there’s no contrition or apology from
@Peston
or any of these political journalists whenever they get it wrong. There is no accountability and there are zero consequences for misinformation. The arrogant MSM will continue to mislead the public.
Keir Starmer in April: We need to get children back to school.
Keir Starmer in May: It's too dangerous to send children back to school.
Keir Starmer in June: We need to get children back to school.
It's shameless.

Everything I've read from Emily Maitlis after she left the BBC so far just confirms my belief that she was totally unsuitable to work for an impartial public service broadcaster. None of her views surprise me.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's a brain drain from Britain. Our most dynamic thinkers will have no choice but to leave because the institutions won't tolerate people who think differently to bourgeois left groupthink. That combined with the general dire state of the country.
One thing I'll never forgive or forget
@bbclaurak
@BethRigby
@Peston
and their elitist, entitled colleagues for is how utterly callous they've been to a man who's had to make the hardest decisions of any post-war PM and who was in intensive care. Good riddance
#DowningStPresser
Time to end the press conferences. Every day the media is using them as a stick to beat the government with. That's not what they were set up for. Since the media has displayed such bad faith, they should end and simply be replaced with video updates.
The arrogant smirks of people in power who think they're above accountability. Wes Streeting didn't answer a single one of Victoria Atkins questions on Alan Milburn.
“I don’t like pictures of people staring down at me… I like landscapes”
Prime Minister Keir Starmer tells
#BBCLauraK
about his decision to remove a portrait of Margaret Thatcher from the Downing Street study
As awful as the next five years will be, it'll still be fun to watch the Snobriens, Vordermans, and Purkisses of this world defend the s***show that's about to unfold. What are they going to moan about now?
I’m hoping today is the day I gradually withdraw from
@Twitter
. I can’t take any more deranged, evil weirdos wishing a horrific disease on people who just disagree with them politically. I no longer want to be a part of this.
#Coronavirus
Hi
@soniasodha
. An actual Brexit voter here. I voted to leave deal or no deal. So your assertion that 'nobody voted to leave without a deal' is completely wrong. Please stop telling me what I think or what I did or didn't vote for. You don't get to do that.
#skypapers
It's been a couple of days since that disgusting tweet about Calvin Robinson. So far:
- The tweet is still there despite complaints.
- No coverage in the media, certainly not days worth.
- No professional consequences for the tweeters.
The game really is rigged against the right.
We need a judicial review into the Durham Police Starmer decision. We need an investigation on:
- How consistently Covid rules have been applied.
- Whether Starmer’s announcement he’d resign if fined put undue pressure on the police.
- Whether politics influenced DP’s decision.
If Truss and Kwarteng succeeds, 20-30 years of technocratic mediocrity will be exposed for the failure it was. This is why the reaction has been so hysterical and disproportionate.
@lisanandy
It has nothing to do with her skin colour or gender, but you already knew that. It's that she's using her voice to:
- preach about climate change while using private jets.
- preach CRT.
- mock and discredit the monarchy, Britain, and the Commonwealth.
This is how the MSM exacerbates crises. There's been no indication of Kwarteng resigning. MSM asks if he's resigning knowing that he has no intention to. Kwarteng says no. MSM then makes a massive deal over the Kwarteng denial that they engineered. It's shameless and disingenuous
The optics in London this afternoon are exactly what Sadiq Khan wants. And the thugs and trouble makers attacking the police are too stupid to realise they've fallen into his trap and will taint the cause of true patriotism in the process.
Earlier this week, an 11-year old girl was stabbed in broad daylight in one of London's busiest spots. The political-media class quickly moved on and carried on as if nothing happened.
Let me get this straight. We're prepared to forgo additional tax revenue and investment because the media class doesn't understand economics and are resentful at other people being successful? What a joke country we're becoming. The US & Singapore must be laughing at us.
#CPC22
The Tories should propose an outsider as the next Commissioner to shake the Met up, maybe ex-military. If Khan objects, they should place London policing under Westminster control until knife crime is down again. The situation too serious to ignore now.
.
@soniasodha
- An actual Brexit voter here.
1. I knew what I voted for, thank you.
2. I have no problems with leaving on WTO rules.
3. I didn't vote Brexit because of what a bloody bus said.
4. Please stop assuming what I think. You clearly don't know.
#PoliticsLive
If you can't understand that increasing the population size creates extra demand for services, then you don't understand basic maths and are unsuitable for high office.
#BBCDebate
Turns out that Brexit Britain cares more about European security than Germany does. And Remainers were telling us that the EU was the best hope for peace on the continent. 🤔
The way the MSM and
#FBPE
Twitter just blatantly twisted the footage of Boris at the NATO summit group photo op today reminds me of the disinfo antics of the Kremlin in recent weeks. It's a blatant distortion of what happened and they know it.
The MSM regards the Conservatives and conservatism as the enemy. They do not compromise. No amount of appeasement from the Tories will persuade them to change their behaviour. It's time the Tories stopped being so damn polite to them and understand this reality.
@NadiaWhittomeMP
Sorry, Labour. After spending the last six years calling us working class 'thick' for voting Brexit and wanting to overturn our votes, you don't get to play the class card now.
We have a society conditioned by a left-wing education system and media into believing that tax cuts are bad and any public spending is good. Mark my words, it will not end well. Cf. 1970s.
Look at the accounts of the main MSM political so-called 'journalists' today. Do people seriously want to argue with a straight face that they aren't out to bring this govt down?
I hope that Truss has learned that being nice to the MSM and apologising for being mean to them isn't going to get her anywhere. They want her gone. Truss should immediately seek to privatise the BBC and C4.
Why do Remainers sneer at Mark Francois so much? Why does he especially get them so worked up? My theory:
Patriotism + Essex Accent = Triggered Remoaners.
@realDonaldTrump
Dear trolls. The words you're looking for are 'hope you're ok. Get well soon'. That's what a normal, mature, compassionate adult would say.
I hope you're happy, MSM. No matter what Boris or his government has done, it's never been good enough for you, has it? You keep setting an impossible bar for him to reach. You should be reflecting on your behaviour, but I bet you aren't.
The only half-decent argument the Remainers had (and even then it's not that convincing) is that the EU is a force for promoting dialogue, co-operation, and peaceful relations. This week that argument has been exposed for the BS it always was. The EU behaves like a rogue state.
It's quite something seeing the same people who wanted JK Rowling, Kathleen Stock, Julie Bindel, Jeremy Clarkson, Matt Le Tissier, Maajid Nawaz, Mark Steyn, Toby Young, GB News, etc cancelled now believe in free speech all of a sudden. 🤔
Reflecting on Starmer's speech. The viciousness. How self-righteous it was. How personal and nasty it was. The left has completely forgotten how to disagree civilly and regard dissenters as sworn enemies. That's the reality conservatives need to understand.
#NoConfidenceVote
Not a single question on Ukraine. Not a single question on Chinese espionage. We have a deeply unserious parliament in an incredibly serious time. 40 minutes of SW1 navel gazing. What a bunch of jokers.
#PMQs
I hope future generations will look upon the British political & media class - who spent the whole summer ousting one PM, stoking division and panic, and are now trying to oust another PM as a war rages in Europe - with contempt. What were they thinking?
It's worth repeating that everyone is freaking out because the top tax rate was going to be the same level as when Blair was in power. What a ridiculous state of affairs.
#CPC22
What would be the message if Truss fails? Don't bother going into politics if you want to do anything radical because the rich and powerful who benefit from the current system will conspire to snuff you out. This is what's at stake now.
@TheDailyShow
Stick to doing unfunny US 'commentary', you know nothing about the UK. There is no backlash here about his race, apart from some on the left who doesn't think he's 'sufficiently Asian'. Apart from those, nobody cares about his skin colour.
@PaulBrandITV
Let me correct that for you. Was the mini budget the worst bout of dishonest, manufactured hysteria the MSM has made against govt? Can anyone think of another one-off event where the MSM has misled the public quite so badly?
.
@bbclaurak
didn't have the grace to welcome the PM back or congratulate him on his baby. How petty can these people get? No, they can't act human after all.
#DowningStreetBriefing
The same people who laughed at Nigel Farage's assault are now expressing 'sympathy' and 'solidarity' with Owen Jones. The double standards here is quite something. Violence has no place in our politics whoever you are.
List of political CV regs violation allegations:
- Stephen Kinnock.
- Tahir Ali.
- Vaughan Gething.
- Kevan Jones.
- Cressida Dick.
- Journos outside Cummings' home.
- Dominic Cummings.
The MSM only called for the last one's resignation. Don't tell me the media isn't biased.
No, it's Britain behaving like a normal sovereign nation again, securing our interests, living up to our potential, and not being the supplicants of the EU. This was what I voted for. You can't tell us what to do anymore.
I like how Laurence Fox dealt with the ridiculous, unfair racist and sexist insinuations. He stood by his perfectly reasonable opinions and shut the shrieking down. This is a model on how to deal with it.
#bbcqt
When I say overturning the Brexit vote is dangerous, I really mean it. Overturning our referendum means that the UK has completely lost its moral authority to speak out against other outrages of democracy, such as what Erdogan's doing. What the Remoaners have done is outrageous.
The upper middle class commentators responding with horror to Braverman's speech reveal themselves. They have absolutely no conception of life outside their privileged bubbles. They don't have to bear the brunt of their misguided policies, nor do they care about those who do.
Maybe John Major wants to destroy the Conservative Party, but deliberately engineering a situation where the members are denied a vote would be the surest way to cause a mass exodus from the party.
It seems that senior Tories would rather attack their own leader than scrutinise the record of the Labour leader. I think activists are entitled to ask 'what's the point?'
The mask finally slipped. After repeatedly smearing Brexit voters as thick racists, Labour promised they'd change. But they can't help themselves. Their contempt for working class patriots is deeply ingrained. They can't keep the fake act up.
A win for Susan Hall and the Conservatives is a win for racists, white supremacists and Islamophobes the world over.
Susan Hall’s campaign has been fought from the gutter with dangerous and divisive politics.
London, we cannot let her win. Vote Sadiq.
@SadiqKhan
@TfL
'There is overwhelming evidence....'
It's quite amazing that the Mayor of London can get away with an unsupported bold assertion that I would've instantly flagged in an undergraduate essay.
Every Conservative Party conference attendee in Manchester in 2015 was subjected to what
#Starmer
experienced or even worse. I don't recall any journalist, and they were all also subjected to it, kicking up the same fuss they're making now.
#DoubleStandardsActivistMSM
First time I've watched
#PoliticsLive
in years, and it's just one big relentless attack on Truss. I made a wise decision to steer clear all these years. I haven't missed anything.
Labour is spending £9 billion on public sector pay increases, and £11.6 billion on ‘climate change ‘aid. No market reaction. Yet we’re expected to believe that the markets freaked out over a £2 billion top rate tax change. 🤔
Just listened to
@JuliaHB1

listens to it. This is how you conduct a polite, respectful, but still rigorous interview with him, Kay.
