Set aside that being vaccinated could help stop the virus from mutating beyond the reach of the vaccines, this Us v. Them thinking is just dumb but indicative of way too much of the right. And yes, the left has their own versions of this stupidity.

This is utterly brilliant. A student accuses @jk_rowling of being transphobic. This teacher skilfully dissects the claim and challenges it by asking questions. He teaches not what to think, but how to think critically. Watch until the end. You see the epiphany in real-time.

"Telling people to reject hate and choose love will not work. Because people swept up in high conflict do not think of themselves as full of hate, even if they are. They think of themselves as right." - @amandaripley

@DrJBhattacharya Even if they share ideological predilections the professors should still challenge student values and ideas...unless of course they're not interested in practicing the tenets of liberal science.

In my teacher prep I was chastised for making a BB that was interactive but not pretty or durable despite it being an example, not in a real classroom. Teacher asked me what I thought when I saw how much work others put into theirs. "I thought they put too much work into theirs."

Maybe it's because I'm an educator but I rarely watch sports w/o knowing the team b/c I'm mostly interested in the growth. Watching @RacingLouFC grow since their start & players like @Savannah_DeMelo , @jaehowell18 , & @MillietLauren has been a joy for this soccer Dad & daughter.
