Doug often seems to minimize the sin of the perpetrators while ignoring the needs of the victims. This is contrary to God’s character, who is the defender of the weak and oppressed.

I believe that Doug here reveals that he is not a careful student of Scripture, and that his mind is clearly bent toward offending the world around him and is therefore in direct conflict with God’s Word.

Yes, it is. And truly sad coming from someone claiming to teach God's Word. “For just as it is written, ‘the name of God is being blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you’” (Romans 2:24, NET).

Doug's advice to his "niece" about finding an "aggressive" and "well-endowed" husband is not just inappropriate—it’s dangerous. Read our full response here:
No. We do not go to hell because we fail to repent about one specific sin against another person. We got to hell if we do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Read our response to Doug here:
Our Response: "If a wife is testing her husband (or a husband is testing his wife) with a false pretense, perhaps there are deeper concerns that should be addressed. The solution is not either spouse 'winning' but rather working through the heart issues so a harmful power dynamic
The Federal Vision controversy has been going on for over twenty years. The gospel is at stake! Why not rather humble himself and admit he was wrong, not just in name, but in substance? Read our full response here:
When R.C. Sproul said: “I can’t fathom why there’s any hesitancy about [rejecting Federal Vision]. There’s too much at stake—this is the gospel we’re talking about.” He was right. And Doug Wilson continues to teach Federal Vision theology as seen plainly in this quote:
For those who have been following Doug Wilson and the things coming out of Moscow, this shouldn't come as a surprise. Even with so many calling them out, instead of humility, Doug's response is, "this is more than a little bit entertaining." When you make it your primary aim to
This is seeker-sensitive theology coming from the other side.
It is wholly unnecessary to use profanity and/or crude or inappropriate gestures to attract men to the cause of Christ. If a man belongs to christ, then Christ Himself is enough motivation.

I’m not surprised given the years of controversy the founder of the CREC has had over this issue as well as race relations in general. But yes, it is heartbreaking to see this sort of thing advocated.
In fact, quite the opposite, as Timothy Keller wrote: “Rigid cultural gender roles have no biblical warrant. Christians cannot make a scriptural case for masculine and feminine stereotypes,” whether washing dishes or making sandwiches.

Even Doug would most likely agree with you: "Now I know and understand that in public controversies it is not necessary to follow the Matthew 18 process. When Paul confronted Peter at Antioch, he did it on the fly. Public error can be publicly rebuked in real time, and we do need
A husband does not serve God by demanding servitude from his wife. Rather, a husband serves God by serving his wife (Ephesians 5:25; 33). Literally serving. Not “serving” in the “I’m serving you by forcing you to do the dishes” interpretation Doug seems to be advocating.

Thanks for your insight into the book. Very helpful. I find it mind boggling that the fact that Jesus didn’t get married and have children doesn’t cause those who promote the “Creation Mandate” today to take pause and consider that there must be a big hole in their understanding
@brmorris
So the real tragedy is that Pharoah and all his army drowned in order to end the slavery of the Jews in Egypt? I’m pretty sure God would disagree, as would Moses and all the people of Israel.
I believe Doug Wilson shows himself here to be in direct conflict with God's Word: "Do not give offense to Jews or Greeks or to the church of God, just as I also try to please everyone in all things. I do not seek my own benefit, but the benefit of many, so that they may be

Ah, he tells the whole story in the podcast - moved from baptismal regeneration to saved by grace through faith alone (if anyone else wants to listen around the 10min mark). I didn’t know that about Max Lucado. Thanks for the podcast, it’s a great resource.
