Yay, free blocks! I should make this clear on this thread that, yeah, recasts happen, but we handle it as much grace as we can. Attacking others for supporting their friend during a recast because they see it as a sleight on themselves is not the vibe.

Especially for an unpaid production, you cannot expect people to be available for stuff at the drop of a dime; people have lives outside of VO; maintain a good work/life balance. Even table reads are unnecessary; we don’t run like typical actors; that’s what cold reading is for:

One thing I notice a lot with some actors getting feedback; and this is something that I had to learn to stop doing; is feeling the need to justify or defend their choices that get critiqued When you’re getting directed, or you receive feedback, you ain’t gotta do all that 🧵
