Phoenix is free. We dont charge for anything outside of Summons, which cost traffic. Traffic = Money. Beta features are charged as a bottleneck and go down tiers as i fix bugs. Once they are all fixed, it goes free. Made the mistake of not doing that and got 2k bug report spam

@RaudoC I can pull up financial statements on the account, i have it all in a paypal account that the discord and patreon auto payout to, Hetzner and Cloudfare both withdraw from that account. Hetzner doesnt have Paypal support or auto pay, so i have to manually pull from a cashapp.

The difference is the patreons pay to be there, so they have incentive. I give it out for free and it has no urgency, when it does for me.

@MrDokkan0 The server is free. This is an early access feature that will be free to use in less than a month. Payment is entirely optional and only gives you 1-3 weeks early access to a feature that goes free. It's primarily just a way to fund the server.

@Mishmash_42 Theres no paywall for the event, just the custom event feature. They are one of the only reasons phoenix still exists because i charge for nothing and basically rely on donations and beta access to cover server costs.

Im not forcing anyone to pay anything, the people who pay for it mainly do it to help the server not die cause i dont have the money to cover it every month. I take nothing home, and spend 20-30 hours a week on it, and keep it as free to use as

I even have an announcement on the old phoenix server about how if i ever got a cease and desist id shut down instantly without resistance, but it's a risk im willing to take to provide a safe environment like Unidokkan made.
