It is with deep sadness 😢 that I announce a sudden death in our family this afternoon around 4pm while I was at work. Pepper Pot was 37 years old at time of death, born in Japan in 1983. She is survived by Coffee Mug and Salt Shaker. Foul play has not been ruled out.

I’m not crying, you’re crying. My dad, able to get himself a coffee cup for the first time, in PT 16 mos post-stroke. The amount of hard work and determination it took to reach this milestone is amazing.

11) overall it was a lot more stress and money compared to past vacations for relatively few smiles on our kids’ faces or attractions teens really liked. This 6-night moderate trip was almost the cost of 2 weeks in Europe. I don’t think we’ll be returning as a fam any time soon.

9) bleeding money on LL the second you are forced to wake up at 6:50 am while on vacation is terrible guest experience compared to booking free FP+ at convenient times to plan a day that works with existing ADR. Refreshing apps all day long isn’t fun but at least effective.

Dad was finally able to speak a bit today in the ICU and after “I love you”, his next hoarse words were “my ass is cold” 😂. He also remembered a dermotologist appt this week which he’d scheduled weeks before the stroke and made sure we canceled (wow!)

4) Our room mousekeeping emptied trash but never cleaned the room once in an ENTIRE WEEK. Was an option to do every other day vs never and I picked every other day. For these prices it should be daily, like a cheap holiday inn manages to do.

Thank you to all who sent thoughts, prayers, sacrificed chickens, etc. keep em coming as we’re not in the clear. I managed to make it to the hospital in Mpls and my dad hasn’t thrown in the towel yet. He’s still unconscious but has successfully moved toes on each foot. 🙏🙏🙏
