Finally reached (… again) the last stretch of the story in FF16 (before the DLC and final fight) and, AGAIN, I struggle understanding the claim that the game “drops its political discourse for the traditional ‘god-you-have-to-kill narrative’ at the end.”it’s just not accurate.

@Dreamboum Not to mention the figure of the “Final God” to defeat in so many Japanese games is so often an allegory of the oppressive system itself. Ultima is LITERALLY a colonizing figure representing capitalistic hunger that lead to the creation of a slave system. He is the system.
