Somalia has more reserves than Norway and they're out pirating in the Red Sea. Venezuela has more than any, according to this, and they're eating zoo animals to stay alive, showing that even with tremendous wealth available, a screwy political system can return people to their

I don’t care if someone is wealthy enough to own a jet, Bugatti etc, I just want them to stop messing with my life, and doing things that make me less wealthy and less free.
@DrunkRepub
Fellow GenXer and can concur 100%. Everything was so chill in the 90s and we all went backwards, or rather, are being dragged backwards by this malignancy into blatant and open racism, and segregation.

One moment I’m pondering what death by a swarm of killer hornet drones is going to feel like, and the next there’s this. Tech can be a beautiful thing.
@votemichelleppc
Yes. I’m beginning to think they should be Canadian-born only too. We have a foreign influence problem enough already without the competing loyalties and the end-of-term exit parachute a foreign passport provides.
CHAOS: Montreal Trudeau Airport giving local voters what they asked for. One mother is screaming for her lost child (next video), and people are begging and fighting to skip the line to make connections. Meanwhile, Trudeau is laughing on the beach, source:

Tigers have existed for 2 million years. They may not have had the ‘eyes’ at first.
Via natural selection over 1000s of generations, the tigers with the white spots survived more often than the ones without, warding off predators like crocodiles.
The spots improved over time
Is it too much to ask to have a PM that doesn’t scold us on the daily, who simply goes about the business of managing finances responsibly, defending our borders, making trade deals, and is generally is out of our faces?
@Rainmaker1973
All the people blaming US sanctions for Venezuela’s issues in my comments here. You truly think Maduro and socialism has nothing to with it? Venezuela was doing fine just 20 years ago. Was the US to credit for that?

Salem’s Lot
I was like 9 or 10 seeing it and to this day after dark, all curtains must be closed so the levitating vampire child cannot see in.
@CoryBMorgan
Well said Cory. This is a tough conversation Canadians never want to have but it is long past due.
We’ve always had 2 tier health. The second tier is in a plane right now flying first class to somewhere else for proper, timely care.

There will be justice when a whole group of Libs and their underlings go to jail.
In fact, I don’t care which parties the traitors belong to, they simply need to be out of our parliament and facing justice.
Poilievre is not standing in the way of this, you are.
@profstonge
Greta has moved on to freeing Palestine, while big business, consumers, and politicians are abandoning net zero, and this is good news for a change.

You’re not wrong, but the community bears some responsibility in calling out the extremists, and I have seen none stepping up, which begs the question, why not?
The harshest critics of this un-Canadian festering shitpile should come the Muslim community itself.
@Morrigan_Astro
I get her point. She’s playing their game and doing a good job of it, but we have to stop playing the race game.
We all lose that game.
Disadvantaged kids need help. It’s super old school but being colourblind was the right way. We’ve lost that way.
“Let me get this straight,” Smith said in a written statement Tuesday. “The prime minister wants to phase out the workforce for the largest industry in Alberta and hasn’t bothered with getting Alberta’s input on their master plan. We have had no consultation, no discussion.”
Alberta is proud to be one of the most responsible producers of oil and gas. Albertans, not Ottawa, will manage and diversify our resource sector how Albertans see fit — not the Prime Minister.

The way forward is by stopping the with division, discrimination, and retuning to some semblance of decency toward one another.
If it has to be forced with legislation, so be it.
Insanity is having fired people for over this ridiculously inadequate and risky therapeutic.

The problem is the lies. If they stopped lying about it, there would be less of a need to look for the pattern.
Until that happens, prepare to be annoyed.

The Freedom Convoy was a great moment in Canadian history where we came together to stand up against tyranny for all Canadians, and the world took notice. Let the critics whine about honking and hot tubs all they want, they are on the wrong side of history and know it.
@TristinHopper
We live in a country that when a skid mark appears on a rainbow crosswalk, it is national news and receives haughty condemnation, and yet this open support of terror and threats to our Canadian Jewish communities are tolerated.
Freedom of speech yes, but enforce the laws.

3500 km to Ottawa from here and not the quickest route either because I would have to stay in Canada p, and I’m still pondering it.
My bike would love to get out of the garage.

😂 Really? My wife would not put up with that from me. Man, if he thinks he's in another tier above his wife, imagine what he would do with Canadians?

What they owe is of no relevance. The rent is charged at fair market value. If the landlord owns property outright, they deserve a return on their investment that reflects current interest rates, otherwise they could sell it and get a higher return on other investments.

Is this case malicious prosecution?
Summary below:
Canada does have laws and legal precedents regarding malicious prosecution, which is a tort that allows individuals to seek redress if they have been unjustly prosecuted. Here's a summary based on the information available up
