Every time I go back to Vandy football game, it becomes more incredible to me what James Franklin accomplished. 3 straight bowls, sold out stadium with majority VANDY FANS. Most importantly an unwavering belief by all that we COULD ACTUALLY WIN. I hope VU can get that again.

My 1st ever GLeague game with @WisconsinHerd we played @RGVVipers and won on a buzzer beater. Mahmoud was intern in RGV. He stayed up till 3 AM post-game washing our uniforms. Now he’s an @nbagleague champ and coach of 1 of the best international teams in the world. Congrats !

People always say “what do you do with 67 student-managers”. Coach KB never turns away anyone who wants to be part of the program and get the resume building experience. It is a lot of people to manage, but moments like this show what a unique Manager experience @HUMensBB is.

We are the best incubator of young Black sports talent in @NCAA . We have 67 student-managers (85% female). Our program is powered by Black women. We wouldn’t be MEAC Champs without them. They’re all in, and when it comes to @MarchMadnessMBB , nobody is immune from “The Pit”.

B4 my 1st yr in GLeague, Some1 told me "GL seasons are measured in dog years". The minimal pay, 6 am commercial flights, seeing minutes dwindle when an NBA player is on assignment. its grueling. That Andre Ingram did it for 10 yrs to have 19 pts in his debut. Simply remarkable

NBA Draft 🧵 NBA teams spend thousands of hours trying to figure out the NBA Draft. Players are scouted from the time they are 15 and intel gathering goes back to people who knew them even before that. Despite all that work and effort… EVERY SINGLE DRAFT has wild misses.

Theres been lots of division among VU fans recently about the team, coaching, attendance, etc. but just watched this presser with @merkel24 talking about @turnersheroes and it puts in perspective what really matters. Proud to have players like this representing my alma mater.
