I'm working on a 'traveling' tree system to go with my grass rig. Similarly to grass, it places trees only around the player. This one uses multimesh instancing tho, so it will also generate colliders for the individual instances. Wip. #madewithgodot #Godot4 #IndieGameDev

Making 'Mower' - a giant leggy monster that wants to slash you into meat nuggets. The idea is that the monster is very tall, moves awkwardly on thin, shaky legs, and squats over you to slice you up with its saw. WIP 2. #Godot4 #GodotEngine #screenshotsaturday #indiegames

Multimesh trees update. You can set the size of the area around the player where colliders should spawn. This way you only generate collisions for those trees which the player is likely to interact with. Saves on performance. #GodotEngine #madewithgodot #IndieGameDev #Godot4

I've optimized my multimesh instancer. It runs about twice as fast now. Transforms are packed into V3 arrays and sent to a separate thread for processing. And some other bits. Thanks @mux213 for suggestions. YT: #GodotEngine #Godot4 #IndieGameDev

Added collision to my clipmap terrain. Still infinite but now also walkable etc. Turns out it's pretty easy using the heighmapshape3d. I made it lower res than the terrain itself - figured it didn't need to be super accurate. Godot 4 alpha 8. #GodotEngine #madewithgodot #GODOT
