marry someone who says:
- i love you
- im proud of you
- im grateful for you
- yes we can replay all of ace attorney
- no, owning the same game on multiple consoles isn't too much
- yes you can explain to me ace attorney lore
when i was a kid i was hospitalized because my gameboy shut off in the middle of a gym leader battle on emerald and i got so mad that i took the batteries out and ate them
last night, i got stuck in a lift - for what was, in the grand scheme, not very long, maybe 45 mins or so - with a guy who kept solemnly shaking his head and announcing we were going to run out of oxygen and die, like we were in space
as a millennial dad I’ve never not been Too Online so I know the best combination of buzzwords to maximize being annoying to my tween; she got a meatball sub for lunch and I said “oh she in her marinara era for real” and the eye roll could have powered our house for a year
something I've recently noticed with ace attorney is a hidden, running theme of characters idolizing someone that they only knew for a brief amount of time, with that idealization (initially, in some cases) clouding their memories and relationship with this person
A lot of characters in Ace Attorney experience trauma. A common way people deal with trauma in the short term is through change, whether that's through their appearance or other means. Am example of this is dying one's hair a drastically different color. In this essay, I will
I was flirting with this hot guy at a club once and it was going well and we’re making out but then he pulls back, gets serious and goes “Hey, just so you know, I’m trans.” and I’m an idiot so I respond “Oh sick! Can we still kiss???” and I think I won my dumbass medal that day

omg the press will go wild once they find out the real reason why international singer klavier gavin is buying chocolates at a convience store at 3 in the morning
@mia_faey
he's just infodumping to himself in his mind about his steel samurai fanfiction that he is definitely not writing in his spare time on a secret account

manfred: it's pride month, edgeworth. you know what that means
miles: huh
miles: what
miles: do you want us to get like
miles: gay verdicts
miles: what
the examples that I've seen people talk about on the timeline (mostly from jupiter, the ceo of the edgeworths) include miles about gregory, phoenix about miles, and even maya about her mom

do you think that, after state vs fey and state vs wright were over, after the celebration, after comforting maya, once phoenix is finally alone... that he just collapses into a storm of emotions that he cannot contain
the people that they idealize *have* played a significant role in shaping each of these individuals into who they are. however, most of them then go through life without ever reconsidering *who* this person truly was to them
if/when they meet the person they idealize again, often several years (and several traumatic events) later, they do not address the stark contrast of the "idealized" and the actual person (even if the actual person has been dead for many years)
@fyeanzi
YES I LOVE THAT ONE
"I've been thinking about taking some law classes which got me thinking about taking some law classes because that's what I was thinking about. And after meeting you, I don't want to be a lawyer."
Feenie's interactions with Mia live rent free in my head
do either party reflect, change, or grow from this re-encounter? often, no, they don't. (or it's not until some other event happens to force this reflection to happen)
do you think that gregory didn't want to take miles to work with him when miles was a toddler but then miles was so clingy that gregory had no choice but to take his very young son with him everywhere
