i personally use the cinema secrets brush cleaner, it's my favorite!! it dries immediately and takes all the gunk out and i'm ready to go! i pour some into a small container or a tiny plastic cup and soak the tip of my brush in there and then rub it against a paper towel to clean

DISPOSABLES- you ABSOLUTELY need these in your kits to be sanitary. these include spoolies/mascara wands, lip wands/brushes, spatulas, q tips, etc. here is an example of a disposable kit that one makeup artist has.

hello daily reminder that witch hazel is an astringent and not a toner, astringents tend to further reduce ur ph levels and dry out ur skin and can be too harsh, when toners r supposed to balance ur ph level after you've stripped it when u've cleansed, exfoliated, etc.

you can give styes, pass on herpes/cold sores, blood poisoning, and even cause blindness. here's an article that shows one case of what a careless and unsanitary makeup artist did to a model, this isn't even one of the severe cases.

MIXING PALETTES- use stainless steel palettes or an acrylic that is non porous. plastic is porous & will absorb product and bacteria. if you like working off your hand the paw palette has cute designs and goes around your wrist. 3rd pic is glamcor's disposable hand palettes!

you're working on MULTIPLE people. and you have to be cautious of spreading germs and other things from client to client. if you are not sanitary you WILL give someone an infection and CAN send them to the hospital. you can get sued esp and you probably won't be hired again.

to be honest i would sanitize each time you go back to your kit/set up from your client. also i would highly recommend keeping your nails short as nails can be the perfect breeding ground for germs and dirt. just sanitize as much as you can bc you can NEVER over sanitize!!!!
