Tokenizing the strategy. I am not a fan of tokenizing the position itself in this case (like ETHMAXY or icETH) and then using that token as collateral elsewhere (probably in some permissionless lending platf) just to increase the APY as that increases the risks dramatically IMO.

I would also consider users who are not interested in the supply rate, and just want to borrow against their ETH. WBTC’s supply APY is at 0.01% ($1.8B supplied), so it’s obvious that some % of people want to borrow against their preferred collateral rather than use it for yield.

This means you can use a single instance of your DSProxy wallet to interact with multiple DeFi protocols and dapps such as: Maker, DeFi Saver, Aave, Compound, Reflexer, etc. Composability at its finest.

Time to meet at @ethbelgrade . If you are still planning your presence at ETH conferences this year, let me suggest one. A lot of OG speakers and teams will be in Belgrade this June. cc @VitalikButerin

Increased DeFi base yield. By increasing the DSR to 5%, MakerDAO created a new base yield for DeFi with everyone (including DAOs) rushing to tap into it. To avoid selling collateral, users searched for lending protocols with the lowest borrowing fees to create the spread. 2/14

Convex bLUSD/3CRV pool. The LPs of bLUSD pool on @CurveFinance get the 3% chicken-in fee from @ChickenBonds in the form of $LUSD, resulting in a 45% vAPR on @ConvexFinance . Convex bLUSD pool is coming to DFS Smart Savings, enabling users to utilize auto-payback from SS as well.

I'm speaking at @ethbelgrade next week about the latest developments in DeFi. Have a rough agenda ready, but curious what do you think is the topic I should not miss?

Introducing a new primitive on the protocol level is OK even if it adds new management complexity since you can build tools on top to make the experience more convenient (this is why we love DeFi). Doesn't matter if lending or AMMs. In their v3, @Uniswap introduced

Interesting talk by @robert_lauko at @stable_summit about hedging with protected principal while offloading the volatility risk from the lending protocols. Looks like @LiquityProtocol v2 is coming.

Pretty volatile Monday it was. *Checks onchain data* Zero bad debt across major DeFi lending venues. (while TradFi crumbles with markets being down)

With the sUSDe yield increase to 37%, looping sUSD/DAI becomes very profitable again. Leverage of 12x gives ~300% APY in @MorphoLabs Blue, alongside 5x points/day boost. Max leverage is 17.6x.

📢Breaking news for yield seekers: The yield available from holding $sUSDe has been effectively raised to 37.2% by @ethena_labs reducing their retained portion to 20%. As a consequence of this, opening a leveraged sUSDe/DAI position via @MorphoLabs Blue currently earns over 400%

One-click leverage management while your position stays on EOA. The creation of a smart wallet (1/1 @safe ) is completely abstracted and done under the hood with no additional transaction. Fam at @defisaver is building the next level of UX & AA the DeFi users need and deserve.

The gang just shipped a cool UX improvement: People with Aave positions on EOAs can boost or repay in a single transaction (even if you never used DFS before) How come? 1. you sign a permit for relevant aTokens 2. you sign the Safe creation (which provides the extra needed

Debt-In-Front automated strategy on @DeFiSaver . If debt-in-front reaches a user-configured threshold of X LUSD (e.g. 20m), the strategy would repay the position to increase the ratio by a defined percentage (e.g. +20%). More on the strategy once we release it (soon). 👀 14/14

How Portal works? 1. Aave gov approves Hop protocol contracts for BRIDGE role. 2. User submits bridge tx to Hop protocol. 3. Hop protocol mints unbacked aTokens (aDAI) on Arbitrum, withdraws underlying asset (DAI) from Aave liquidity pool on Arb and sends it to user wallet.
