Remember when Trump said this about Ghazala Khan: "If you look at [her] she was standing there. She had nothing to say...maybe she wasn't allowed to have anything to say." Now the Lord has blessed him with
@IlhanMN
and
@RashidaTlaib
who are Muslim women with plenty to say 😏😏😏
How is someone being forcibly ripped from their home described as a “clash”? How are worshippers praying in a mosque “clashing” with soldiers? Such language conditions your brain to think these are two groups of people who simply can’t get along. We reject this false narrative.
I’ve spent too much of my breath in my 20s trying to convince people we’re not terrorists. I’m done with the apologetic rhetoric, as a Muslim and as a Palestinian.
🚨 BREAKING: Georgetown Law graduate Jinan speaks out for the first time after her job offer from prominent law firm Foley & Lardner LLP was rescinded over her support for Palestinian rights on social media, reported by
@democracynow
during today’s daily show.
Jewish passengers refused to ride a bus with 50 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and made the Israeli driver kick them off, Haaretz reports.
The bus line connects to one of Israel's illegal settlements, where some Palestinians work due to the impacts of the occupation.
The absolute worst takes. We never enjoyed that “decency & kindness” we sought. But suddenly it’s our responsibility to be kind to racist, xenophobic, anti-science, selfish people who wanted us either dead or out of this country?
Samuel L. Jackson describing “Little Women” as “Four white girls standing on the cusp of Karenhood” in “Death to 2020” was possibly the best line ever.
Muslims who are white don’t get to use the “Islam doesn’t see race” argument. Yes, Islam doesn’t see race, but Muslims do. You’re still white. You still live in a country that props up white privilege. You are still propped up by the Muslim community for being white and Muslim.
There is an occupier and the occupied. The transgressor and the oppressed. The settler colonizer and the indigenous. The ideology preserving these dichotomies is not grounded in religion. It is not a “civilizational clash.” It is a concerted effort to maintain power.
#MyPalestinianSitty
is beyond words 😭😭😭 She has Alzheimer’s now, but in her prime she was tough, hard-working, generous, inspiring and independent. A true powerhouse.
The existence of Palestinians is a threat to this power. The myth “but if Palestinians were peaceful..” is meaningless. For the Zionist, it doesn’t matter if the Palestinian is peaceful. If the Palestinian exists, they are inherently a threat to the survival of an apartheid state
Americans will whine about the Second Amendment and their God-given right to own assault rifles, but will demonize and malign Palestinians confronting their occupier with a literal rock.
An NPR analysis finds that nearly 20 percent of the people charged in connection with the violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol have served or are currently serving in the military.
The Qur’an says plainly that daytime fasting during Ramadan ends at “Dark” not at sunset. “Dark” is a good match for the end of twilight. This time of year: up to 15 mins later in equatorial latitudes. 30 mins at middle latitudes. And 45 mins at higher latitudes. I’m just saying.

Black Americans and minorities aren’t anti-vaxxers. They’re mistrustful of systems that always did them wrong based on experience. White people are anti-vaxxers. To me, the term anti-vaxxer implies an illogical reason for rejecting vaccines. That’s how I interpret the term.
White people are mad at a black mermaid but ridicule and throw hatred at Muslims who do not want Prophet Muhammad ﷺ portrayed in a cartoon, often proclaiming “IT’S JUST A CARTOON GET OVER IT.”
You do know Baghdad & Kabul were in those situations because of America? Stop this repulsive Orientalism. The West is the progenitor of violent colonialism.
@VanJones68
also likened it to Syria. Violence is not endemic to these nations. It is a reaction to colonialism & despotism
.
@MarthaRaddatz
: "It is so horrible to know, we are in America where this is happening, on Capitol Hill. I'm not in Baghdad. I'm not in Kabul. I'm not in a dangerous situation overseas. We are in America."

May she rest in peace. She leaves behind a life of noble work covering the injustices many journalists in this country seek to obscure. Tragically, she has become another devastating headline in the narrative she devoted herself to telling.
Apparently
@Jeopardy
had a question today on The Church of the Nativity and when the contestant answered “Palestine,” it was deemed incorrect and the next contestant said “Israel” and it was counted as correct.
@Jeopardy
please explain.
I’m sad about the downfall of Twitter esp while being in Gaza. Twitter really opened my eyes to so much about the ppl of Gaza, in the OG days of Twitter. I thought of many of those ppl while here & I’m saddened to think that we’ve lost the forum that brought us those connections.
Thank you
@RepMarieNewman
for joining us today in solidarity with Palestinians. Rep. Newman called out Israeli home theft. We appreciate the support.
@AMPalestine
I appreciate how this was written by a Muslim (
@KindaHagi
) and that she brings herself into the piece. Why do Muslim/Arab/Brown/non-white writers always have to detach themselves from subjects that affect or relate to them in order to be taken seriously? Happy this piece was real
The
@AP
had their offices blown up by Israel and yet they have the audacity to use the phrase “war-won lands sought by Palestinians.” Absolutely spineless, reckless and infuriating to see.
Why is it fine for
@CNN
to employ AIPAC’s champ Wolf Blitzer, while censoring and silencing MLH for standing for Palestinian human rights?
#IStandWithMLH
Samuel L. Jackson describing “Little Women” as “Four white girls standing on the cusp of Karenhood” in “Death to 2020” was possibly the best line ever.
The
@womensmarch
has proven that there is no space for Muslim women in their so-called movement unless they are willing to sell out their support for Palestinian human rights.

Me yesterday: Who is
#Khabib
? What is
#UFC
? There’s a fight?
Me today: All hail Khabib. We will defend our brother. He is the ultimate champ. Defender of our honor. Defender of our faith.
This is the absolute lowest of the low. I thought I’d see it all from their ridiculous accounts, but this is just beyond. And I’m not explaining it because I’m tired.
Today, during operational activity in Hebron, an IDF commander took fruit from a Palestinian's stand. The IDF does not condone this behavior. The incident was investigated and the commander was suspended from duty and punished
Is the “person of interest” in this “intentional” bombing white? I’d assume so, bc if they weren’t, we’d already know their name, have their pic, their address, elementary school report card, SSN...
The front page of the Wall Street Journal, left blank to represent the missing reporting from Evan Gershkovich. It's now been a year since he was arrested in Russia. He remains in Russian custody.
Journalism is not a crime.

Been trying to get an op/ed published on this and no one is interested. If this story reversed and the professor made pro-Palestinian comments, we all know the reaction would be different.
My son saw the phrase “One-hour photo” on a Walgreens and said, “Why on earth would you wait one hour for a photo??”
I had to explain how once upon time, getting a photo in an hour was considered fast.
Criticism of Israel is valid. Criticism of Israel is not antisemitism. Standing for Palestinian human rights should not be a liability in our society.
