Riqui Puig is a special talent who should be given a platform to display his quality at all costs. Along with Ansu Fati, the most important player for the future of Barcelona. To even consider discarding him is ridiculous.
This lad, Pau Torres, gets to lift a major European trophy for his hometown club, of which he came out of the youth academy, from a town of around 50,000.
David Villa is one of the greatest strikers of all time - and Spain's absolute greatest. Upon retiring, he hopefully finally receives the credit he deserves. He has been constantly underrated and disgracefully overlooked throughout his entire career.
Fresneda a very special talent and any club will be lucky to sign him. He's like a CM dropped in at full-back. Just over 6ft, athletic but above all excellent with the ball at his feet.
Arsenal have joined the race for Real Valladolid right-back Ivan Fresneda and have serious interest in the teenager. Lots of other clubs are in for Fresneda, including Newcastle.

monitoring situation closely.
Lobotka is about to leave Celta for around €20m, Marc Roca is available for €40m and Dani Olmo would walk over hot coals to join a major club in January. Fix up, Man United.
Bryan Gil a potential star in the making. Not going to go down well in Sevilla that he's being let go. Spurs landing a very, very exciting talent if reports hold true. Still raw and with lots to polish but he's easily top 5 most exciting young talents in Spain.
It amazes me that anyone even dares question LeBron on these issues anymore. No sportsman has done/is doing more outside his own area of expertise. He's untouchable.
Solskjaer, like Zidane, realising the value of happy players enjoying their football again. Talk tactics all you want but that is the most important thing. It transfers to the fans too, who are enjoying watching their team again.
Alexander Isak. Raised in Solna by by Eritrean parents. Joined AIK aged 6. Debuted aged 16. Scored 13 league goals before 17th birthday. Already scored 72 senior goals. Still only aged 21. The Real Sociedad striker is very, very good indeed.
When Belgium ran out of gas late on and Brazil rallied, it was Hazard taking pressure off his defence. The way he rode the challenges, then drew fouls because opponents couldn't get the ball - you can't ask for much more to close a game out.

Arteta was exciting due to being an unknown, the freshness of him starting his coaching career was intriguing. If you don’t go down that road, you go elite. Emery is not elite, always in the rung under that. Maybe one even further below.
A look at Gio Lo Celso after his move to Spurs. Straight to the point and first of all; a much better signing/fit for Mauricio Pochettino and his philosophy than Paulo Dybala or Coutinho would've been. Only 23-years-old and with a HUGE ceiling.

Often guilty of poor in-game management. Few coaches can snatch a loss or draw from the jaws of victory like Emery. Let’s not even get on to what happens when he faces teams that go down to ten men.
A box office dominated by comic book movies. What a time to be alive. If it's got a cape or super power, people will see it. Classic, good old fashioned movie making strangled to death.
To the people that thought Rakitic was bad last season, trust me when I say he's considerably worse since joining Sevilla. Really, he has been THAT awful.
Get ready for the video sessions, Arsenal players. And lots of them. Joaquin’s famous anecdote is that ‘Emery played so many videos, I ran out of popcorn’. Can exhaust players, suck out their motivation etc.
Aspas in tears on the bench. Absolute floods. Hasn’t played since December, comes back and scores two goals to win the game with his Celta team battling relegation. Unbelievable.
The lack of structure in the Man United midfield is embarrassing. Individual talent of Pogba (look at the difference he instantly makes) and Bruno, Cavani (goals) simply papers over huge cracks. No overall scheme at work. It's about individuals producing and not a system.
Mikel Arteta a bright, positive appointment for Arsenal and one they can look upon with foresight. This isn't interim or safe pair of hands, it's a coach that Arsenal can build with and forge a new identity. It's bold but it's also common sense for a club in need of an overhaul.
People coming at me with 3 EL’s being elite. Last time I checked CL was the elite competition. Also, let’s be honest, Sevilla’s success is pinned up by Monchi’s structure.
In terms of discipline, we are talking about a severe lack of authority. Valencia players walked all over them, and he was not even dealing with stars. At PSG, notoriously passive. Wonder how long it will take Arsenal squad to figure it out.
He is NOT a powerhouse midfielder or destroyer. He’s more methodical than that. Yes, he’s athletic and his physique makes him difficult to knock off the ball but his reading of the game + soothing nature in hectic moments under Simeone has shone above everything else.
Rodri is an outstanding midfielder who can become the best in the world in his position. Pep Guardiola has been aware and enamoured by his talent for a very long time. Immense technical, physical and mental attributes on the field.
Bellingham has been unbelievable. Just everywhere on the field. Pure energy and hard work. Tackled, blocked, passed, ran...ran even more. Immense performance. He's MOTM here.
Hazard, De Bruyne and Lukaku all stood up and were counted tonight. Emphasis on the term 'stood up'. It's what the best players do on big stages like this. All three were superb.

This might well be Emery’s saving grace, and the reason why he has been chosen. A company man. Arsenal’s new team behind the scenes can lay the foundations, put the bricks down, buys the furniture etc. Emery to just organise it all, make it look nice.
Emergency meeting called at Atleti over Antoine Griezmann. Club wants to avoid another ‘Decision’ style saga this summer at all costs. Gil Marín, Simeone, Andrea Berta all present; they want to hear it from Griezmann personally if he does wish to leave.
Arsenal have won just two of their last nine away games in all competitions - against League One Blackpool and virtually relegated Huddersfield who hadn't scored for nearly 10 hours before netting against us - Won 2 Drawn 2 Lost 5
His main qualities are the ability to take the ball from the backline, calmly play into teammates and use his footwork to dribble through midfield (high press resistant qualities). At 1.82m, he’s deceptively graceful in possession and extremely calm, soothing.
Partey began to establish himself properly with Atleti around 2017/2018. After struggling to figure out what type of player he really was, Atleti found a role for him at the base of their midfield. Koke and Saúl often played wide/as interiors so Partey stepped up centrally.
As Gabi wound down his career at Atleti, Partey came in and provided not only freshness but physical presence and a wide passing range in deep areas and final third. He also had something no other Atleti player had; he was graceful enough on the ball to play out of trouble.
Lopetegui ridiculed, slandered, laughed at. He has turned Sevilla into a proper team. Not easy when you have that many new faces, then take into account others leaving. Created an identity…and won a trophy.
West Ham very close to signing Pablo Fornals now, fee would be around €27m (clause is €30m). A good price for a very talented player. Could well turn out to be one of the better deals this summer.
Lindelof excellent for Man Utd, MOTM. Composed, commanding performance. Defended well and moved out of the backline in an assured manner. Credit due because the lad has taken a lot of criticism.
The mental aspect of football is outrageous. Brentford win eight in a row, play some incredible football along the way while playing catch-up. The minute it becomes in their hands, they bottle it. Completely.
Often played within a double pivot, Partey’s form was that good the club rewarded him with a new deal. The player had fully bought into Simeone’s methods and demands. As other CM’s came and went, he was intelligent and hard working enough to get everything many others did not.
Truly astonished Barcelona are doing this again. Shouldn’t really be surprised at all but for some reason they still keep coming to these decisions. Only yesterday I tweeted about Thiago and they’re essentially doing the same thing. It stinks of the same incompetence.
Gerrard deserves massive credit for how he's managed this against Braga. Clear sign of his potential as a manager. Rangers players not only showed energy, commitment but were well drilled tactically.
Declan Rice with an immense performance. Absolute monster in midfield, was even motoring through wide areas at times. His physical level really is something.
Atleti were in some way surprised at Partey’s development here. Yes, they saw the potential, but they didn’t realise he had the tactical acumen to carry off the role. In Almería (very successful loan) he played as a 10, a winger and a B2B centre-midfielder.
Over time Partey became more confident, authoritative and essential to Atleti’s system. He protected the defence with his presence and ability to nip danger in the bud before it formed. His recovery pace is at a good level but keep in mind he’s smart enough to position himself.
Thing that's stood out for me watching Fresneda coming through is ability in small spaces and when put under pressure. Composed and weaves his way out of trouble expertly. Technically gifted and has a physique you'd not associate with Spanish full-backs/wide players.
Massive changes in the Spain squad named by Luis Enrique. Unai Simón, Sergi Reguilón, Adama Traoré, Eric García, Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres, Dani Olmo and Óscar Rodríguez all called-up. Wow...
The attempt to deflect blame on De Gea for how utterly appalling the Spain team was, just an embarrassment. Was it his fault Spain don't shoot?

Wenger: "Bergkamp changed the destiny of the club...the first big star to arrive [at Arsenal]...he contributed to transform way Arsenal played”. Sums it up perfectly.
Scottish presence in Athletic first team training today, Ewan Urain. His mother is Scottish, father is Basque. Born in Durango, around 30 minutes outside of Bilbao.
André Gomes best player on the field. Helped Everton keep their shape and gave them a foothold in the game from very early on. Quietly imposed himself. Big performance regardless of freak goal at the end.
Crystal Palace are set to sign Brazilian talent Matheus França! Documents are being exchanged between clubs — here we go 🚨🔵🔴🇧🇷

Understand Flamengo will receive €20m fixed fee plus €10m in add-ons.
Medical booked for next week, as per
@cahemota
. Done deal.
Has Ramos had his flaws? Absolutely. But make no mistake he's one of the most important players in the history of Real Madrid. In the modern era he's held the team together at times, in the good and bad. A huge character. A serial winner.
Brighton paying the clause in Marc Cucurella's contract, €18m. Has made phenomenal progress as a player ever since leaving Barcelona. Really good signing for Potter and the club.
Should be an investigation from the guys at the top of PSG into recruitment there. Absolute joke that a club with such aspirations of being elite are left with a squad like that. Massive question marks over Tuchel but if he goes then Leonardo must too.
Pedro Porro for €12m is an excellent deal for Man City. A player of major potential who has been a revelation in LaLiga at just 19. Makes sense to immediately loan him out and maintain his progression with regular minutes.
#MCFC
Truly believe there is only Pedri and Ansu ahead of Bryan Gil as it stands in terms of players in Spain who are young and of potential. He really is *that* good.
Diego Llorente heading to Leeds in deal that could be around €20m. The source of the story,
@MikRec
, is very trustworthy and close to Real Sociedad. This one is happening.
Marcos Llorente to Atleti is done, just a few formalities remain. He will sign for just under €40m - Real Madrid wanted €50m plus a buyback but won't get either.
Why Griezmann wishes to replicate one of the biggest PR disasters in modern sporting history is baffling. LeBron may be his idol, but this wasn’t a path of his to follow.
Villarreal have a deal just about wrapped up for Geronimo Rulli to be their new GK. They won't be making any move for Arsenal's Emiliano Martínez after all, despite the links in recent days.
