My wife had to remind Today makes a full month of being alcohol free. Not gonna lie, it's been a battle. Especially the first couple weeks. Though I only drank at night before bed I was still a borderline alcoholic. Until 30 days ago I've drank every night since 2019. 🥳

So after I had a stent put into my bicep to my chest I acquired a serious infection and its been an absolute nightmare to deal with. Bicep doubled in size. Got so bad antibiotics weren't working so today they had to slice me open and drain it. Hopefully I'm on the mend now. 😖

I started a bad habit of drinking everyday after I hiked the Appalachian trail in 2019. It was because I couldn't sleep in a bed. I'd been sleeping in a hammock for 6 1/2 months. I quit drinking 12 days ago to train for the Continental divide trail. It's been a struggle. ☹
