My Dad died of Covid 19 today. I was the only family member able to visit him. Then I told my mum. This is the last time I properly saw him. At the V and A car exhibition. I spent my whole life pretending to him I liked cars. He knew I was pretending. It didn’t matter.

Happy Fathers Day. You may remember I lost him to Covid early on in the first lockdown. I don’t know why but most of the time I’m kind of ok with it. It hit him suddenly and in no time he was gone. I enjoyed discovering afterwards what a snappily dressed mod he was when young.

Does anybody else, like me, not really understand biopics at all? Particularly of 20th century people we have loads of film of. I know what Bob Marley looked like and sounded like, and all of the Beatles. Why do I want to watch anyone pretending to be them? It’s dumb.

My lovely friend Judy Dyble @judydyble has passed away. I’ve had a good cry already. It was such a privilege to work with her, play on stage, visit her home and dogs and go shopping for shaving mugs and penguins. I was promsing her a visit post lockdown. Heartbroken.
