For young artists, or frankly any artist that needs to hear it: youre not a lesser artist for drawing cute! Being able to exaggerate features without characters becoming creepy is a skill that not all artists have. Dont let artists, mentors, teachers or anyone put you down for it

hey friends! to prevent you from getting as angry as I just did after updating photoshop: if you can only select psd, pdf, psb, or tiff when you save as (and the issue is not your color mode), it might be because you need to check the "Enable Legacy Save As" in your preferences.

Good thread on how terrible it was to work for gaia. Literally only thing good that came out of it were the lifelong friends I made. When i was a contractor, I made 7-9 sets a month, working 12-16 hour days every single day of the week and only made $23k that year.

#GameDevPaidMe contracted for gaiaonline from early 2015 to december of 2018 when most of the US based art team was laid off unceremoniously. i dont know my hourly rate for them, because it was a mystery. i still dont know their system. most of the team didnt.
