My live reaction to the

Richmond finish
Easily the craziest finish I’ve ever seen at Richmond, & it created another out-of-body NASCAR experience in 2024
Guys were running sprints on the porta potty’s while avoiding flying beer cans when we were waiting out the lightning delay
It was disrupting, highly dangerous and electric. Exhibit A:
One of the silver linings of rain delays is discovering how creative race fans are in finding a way to make the situation the best fucking time ever
Wet or dry, dudes are gonna find a way to have an electrifying time
#NASCAR
#INDY500
Hot take:
Bubba Wallace reminds me a LOT of Kevin Harvick when it comes to temper
We worshipped Kevin for his hot-head antics. They were often unsafe. We thought it was badass
Bubba gets CRUCIFIED for similar & often times lesser hot-headed decisions

People will say Buescher ran the wrong line
But I shake my head watching Larson make that stick in 3-4. Didn’t hit the wall. What an unreal corner to earn a shot at it. Just a masterclass
Imagine where NASCAR would be without Trackhouse. They’ve fueled some of the sports most thrilling & monumental moments over the past couple years
In such a short time they have changed our sport forever. It’s easy to lose sight of how massive their impact is
As a lifelong
One of the greatest finishes in the history of NASCAR. My live, complete out of body reaction.
I was SURE the 12 won until I saw a replay. Unbelievable. NASCAR is just the best, man.

I’m speechless
I was born on February 29th. I get a real birthday every 4 years. I turned 6 in 2020. Next year will be my 7th actual birthday
This year marked 3/4ths of the way to my 7th birthday
Essentially.. I turned 6.7. My parents had this made for me
I’m cryin’

Imagine being Tyler Reddick’s fiancé (Alexa.. she’s really nice & cool) & getting to tell people that Michael Jordan held your baby
Like all the twists & turns in life that exist & hers have led to MJ carrying & laughing with her child like the fun uncle at family christmas
Cheers to you,
@Hooters
You’ve been through enough over the years. Hooters is a winner in the NASCAR Cup Series once again. Chase Elliott earned this one. Awesome. You love to see it
🦉
All I can think about is how Steve O’Donnell and other NASCAR execs watch the Xfinity Series and inexplicably are unable to (or just refuse to) realize this is everything that the Cup Series needs
They can’t even realize they had it right the first time. Today is the era of promoting mediocrity
Only the best of the best get in. 10 drivers, 10 races. One champ
So simple, so entertaining
NASCAR: 9 different winners in 12 races. 6 different teams
IndyCar: 4 different winners in 4 races. 3 different teams
Netflix: 2 different winners in 5 races. 1 team
Unpopular opinion:
Flames on NASCAR paint schemes are corny and rarely look cool. Only Jeff Gordon’s DuPont
#24
scheme was able to perfect the flame concept
The Hendrick
#24
will always be able to. Almost nobody else has or can ever make cool flames. Change my mind
Only concern about tonight:
The ATL obsession could be an infection for other race tracks to consider (Texas)
This type of racing will remain glorious & special as long as we don’t oversaturate it. Making everything restricted pack racing will hurt the future talent of NASCAR
I think that was easily the best Daytona 500 in the Gen 7 era. Compelling strategy, FOX booth was great, everything felt tense & nerve wracking the entire time
So many high-pressure situations, teams & drivers were so good.. one wreck can cloud it, but most of the race was great
This is so bad man. Cut away from someone about to completely blow the corner and spin
Not sure how the announcers don’t explode at the production crew over this
This is not a “Bubba” defense. This is just a common racing thought
People who are vehemently mad are weird. This happens all the time. I mean this is as standard as it gets on “payback” after getting wrecked
There’s been so much worse that’s gone without fines/penalties
I think most of the replays make you believe there’s contact, but are slightly disputable because it is so tight and wasn’t a pure slam
This replay from Harvick’s onboard is the clearest, imo. This is 100% contact
I don’t care what anybody says. That Blaney wreck—just like last fall—is actually way scarier than the majority of barrel rolls you see in NASCAR. So glad he’s okay
There’s a lot of soft lil guys in the NASCAR community
But people who hate Bubba Wallace are irrefutably in the conversation of being the softest. It is pretty damn hilarious
I can never get over the 2006 Indy 500. I watch this final lap over & over. There’s just NO. WAY. Hornish could catch Andretti
Greatest race in the world, everything on the line. Greatest slingshot of all time. Greatest game 7 type of moment in the history of motorsports, imo
Watching this Kyle Busch presser and thinking: it is INSANE that this is happening right now. Nuts.
What’s even more insane is that this is what JGR wanted. They had no intentions of bringing Kyle back. None. And nobody can convince me otherwise.
This was the plan all along.
What.
A.
Race.
So appropriate for the return to Bristol concrete
This field of drivers is something special to be able to survive all those flats in the final 100 laps without crashing and bringing out a yellow. NASCAR continues to astonish in 2024
What a time to be a fan.
I think the term “Rubbin’s Racin” can be very overused. But there’s a lot of people going berserk on Reddick (BTW, I had a LOT of money on Chris today)
But did people cuss & go berserk at Ricky Craven when he made this ill-timed move? *maybe*
Hate to say it, but
rubbin’s racin
One of the most clutch moves I’ve ever seen in my life at the 500. Josef Newgarden’s unbelievable move for the win
Video from my group in Turn 3. Absolute pandemonium
#INDY500
I’ve been an emotional wreck about Harvick all week
He’s truly the last driver left that’s been there since the beginning for me as a fan. Think about all the drivers that have come & gone since ‘01. Kevin’s still here
Until Sunday night. Goodbye childhood. It will be official
I’m tired of seeing the comparisons of Indy 2008
AT INDY 08, THEY WERE THROWING COMPETITION CAUTIONS EVERY 10 LAPS. THIS IS NOT THE SAME. NOT EVEN CLOSE
Here at Bristol, the situation is crazy, but way more fun & manageable for drivers & teams & opens up wild strategy
Oh man, anyone who has ever accidentally told someone a secret that was not meant to be told publicly, has to feel for Christopher Bell. While it’s embarrassing that he slipped up, at least it led to a really funny moment where everyone got a laugh.
I’m sorry. I can’t take it anymore
Whoever structured the NASCAR FOX contract to include this many commercial breaks must be the biggest fucking loser(s) of all time. No chance he(they) would be fun to have a beer with. Period
*respectfully*
NEWS: Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has been fined $75,000 for violating the NASCAR Member Code of Conduct at

Additionally, four-race and eight-race suspensions have been issued to two crew members of the No. 47 team.
2005 Coca Cola 600: most chaotic 600 ever. Ends in a spectacular fashion. Fed Ex car loses. 18 car loses.
2022 Coca Cola 600: most chaotic 600 ever. Ends in a spectacular fashion. Fed Ex car wins. 18 car loses.
Life is a simulation. It’s not up for debate.

Finally, FOX just had awesome post-race coverage. We always rip on them when it’s nonexistent
So I’m here to give credit this time. They just interviewed the entire Top 10. This was nice
The people responsible for NASCAR merch & activations in the 2000’s must be the most fun, awesome human beings to ever exist
A person just said hey let’s make a dale jr helicopter.. and everybody agreed. The creativity is hilariously A+. Let me drink a beer with those guys
Connor Zilisch is terrifyingly good for SEVENTEEN. I know many people in the endurance racing world are gonna say they aren’t surprised
But I can’t think of a time a SEVENTEEN year old CHILD just DOG WALKED a NASCAR field in practice and qualifying. Connor just did that.
Don’t ever let anybody act like this isn’t a big deal. This is horrendously embarrassing to go out of your way to spread misinformation like this on a weekly basis
Like you HAVE to go out of your way to get this wrong AND display it. Have to. Just absolute neglect. Every week
Justin Haley deserves so much fucking credit for that run. Strategy was big, but he held off some of the best for so long. Larson, Elliott, and KFB could never get by him
It was so easy to make mistakes and he was about as clean as anybody in a high-pressure spot
Such a win for NASCAR today. Going H2H vs F1’s huge event in Miami, the sport put on a show & served a reminder on what peak competitive racing looks like
It’s abundantly clear that you’ll find substantially better competition, entertainment, & drama in the world of NASCAR
